Hey All!
Just stopped by to see if Stone Monkey was still here. It seems like he is not. Sad.
EVOs are pretty easy to fix. It is usually cold solder joints on the pcb. Easy to fix. Unfortunately I am in a place where paraphernalia is illegal.
Has anyone come up with a good way to weigh the Evo down and make it less apt to fall off a table? I use a Mobius Ion and a slight tug on the power cord or interconnecting vapor tube will send it sailling to the floor. And the Evo is not the most durable device.
I got a bit of a weird situation with my EVO. During the first minute or two of warming up with the dial all the way turned up, I get a blinking red light. If I power down and power back up it heats up as normal with no blinking. Is there any idea what this could be?
I received information today that sheds a whole new light on this issue. I owe @MinnBobber an apology of sorts. You are not wrong, even in my opinion :) Apparently the flexcone can seal the lid, if it were made longer than mine. This is the info I received from miniVAP:
"The O-ring was used...
I was the first one in this forum to buy one so mine is the oldest of anyone here. Shortly after I bought one Rodger bought his but from a different vendor I am pretty sure.
In my opinion you are wrong Sir. The material the flex cone (not flex cone+) is made is of is no where near flexible...
My miniVap will leak air through the hole in the lid where the portion of the flex cone goes through it that a hose would connect. Mine came with a silicone o-ring around that portion on the flex cone to seal it to the lid. I received a new flex cone and lid and this came with no silicone...
This might seem like a strange question but who does not have an o-ring seal on their cone where it goes through the hole in the lid? This does not apply to the flex-cone+.
I was one of the first in this thread to get a miniVap and test it. I have started to have issues with the battery and was wondering if battery issues have been discussed yet? What happened to me was with a fully charged battery, the mini would shut off while warming up during the first few...
WOW! Look at all this activity! I thought this thread all but died years ago. The miniVap is still my favorite portable. It may not be stealthy but stealth is not one of my requirements. I am glad to see Roger D (Ca$h) is still active in this thread. His insites have always been much...
I cleaned my bamboo recently without sealing the vents on top. I thought if I was careful it should not be an issue. WRONG! A little alcohol and a little water found it's way in there. I of course let dry out for about 10 hours before I used it again. When I heated it up it had a strong...
Some pages back there was a link to some black nylon brushes. They absolutely great, cleaned my ELBs great. Like new.

San Diego too. It was like 84 here today. Too warm for me for this time of year.
Could you post those links, please? I tried to...
I have been reading all the reviews of all the new EVO owners. And I almost never see anything about how the taste was. So I am interested, at what point on the dial does the taste of the vapor start to head south? I know the dial is not the same for everyone but, all the same ...
