I don't know about you guys, but I definitely need to break out the old Cloud+ more often. I seem to have a lower tolerance with it after using the Evo exclusively for extended periods. Even though the Evo is probably a more efficient unit, there seems to be a nice benefit in switching it up...
It may do the same thing but it's not the same product. The case they are selling appears to be near pelican quality, and a pelican case is close to the same price.
Did you check for cracks in the bamboo? If you can't tell visually you can plug the bottom of the bamboo with your finger and try blowing into it to see if it's air tight.
On an unrelated note- I just tried turning the unit off after dropping the nail in for the first time. I was blown away by...
I'm usually not in a hurry after turning it on, but i think after about 5-10 minutes mine works pretty well. However I always feel like it works better once it's heat-soaked (20 minutes or more)
This sounds like my experience when i'm loading too much. In my experience there is a very fine line between the right amount and too much. If you load even a tiny bit more than you're able to hit, it can be messy. I've been using this for quite a while and I still have a challenge consistently...

How...

It's especially nice when...
The evo can draw up to 100 watts, so I would think this one would be under powered. 100 watts might be the peak power, not continuous. It's good to have some headroom too.
