Partially due to my cat somehow having an affinity for both teddy bears and the bottom halves of my Vapman it looks like it's time for something new.

An Evo is on the way. I bought one from a fellow FC member in classifieds and am very excited to get it.

Now I'm looking into log stuff. But is it pointless with the evo and EV2 coming around?

I used to have a SSV and loved how I could rip thru fat bowls with it but should I get a traditional log vape like a nano or underdog?

Should I wait for the evo and ev2 to get here before i make that judgement call?

CHEERS.

I would wait. Isn't the EV2 the older brother of the nano?

Anyhow I have a feeling you will be smitten with your cloud.

The only EV2 I know of is the discontinued Epicvape model. The e-nano made it more or less obsolete.

The e-nano is an excellent complement to a big hitter like the Cloud EVO or SSV. The nano is very versatile and can be a big hitter itself when used with the optional gong adapter, and the fully adjustable temp range is a big plus for a log vape. The e-nano and EVO have been my 'go to' vapes for home use for years. The nano gets used every day and the EVO less often, but it's always handy when I want a lot of vapor in a hurry.

I have an EVO and I've never had a log vape, but I believe if I had one it would just collect the dust as the EVO would substutute for it 200%.
They're both similar in that they give you efficient convection extraction 24/7.

Log advantages:
-a little faster REloading (you don't have to open bowls)
-can be powered on 24/7, Evo could probably too, but it's not recommended and should be cooled down every now an then.
-cheaper
-not so much of glass to break, or any.

EVO advantages:
-easier PREloading (if you have multiple ELBs)
-safer reloading (you could probably burn yourself with a log if not careful)
-better taste
-more powerful
-bigger bowl
-glass on glass connection
-temperature control (if the log doesn't have any, some do)

Hola FC: @DrNick420
IMO follow this ^^^^^^^^^^^^ previous post advice.
Follow old FCers advice, save $$$$$ on the process and save headaches my man..
Unless you have serious VAS.
I've gone through lots of vapes, take a look at my sig, the vapes I used and I didn't bought aren't posted, but trust me, I've tried almost them all, and as @Seek told you,
IMO EVO IS KING MY MAN. NO LOG OR SUBLIMATOR OR HERBALIZER WILL WIN AT EASE OF USE, PURITY IN VAPOR, EXTRACTION AND PUNCH IN THE FACE.
BELIEVE THE EVO HYPE.
TRUST US.
TELL US WHEN EVO ARRIVES.
Stay vaped...

And if all I used was my EVO I'd be using at least twice as much herb. Been there before. There's no one vape or one combination of vapes that suits everyone, but plenty of people like a change of pace with vapes. I've been switching it up with complementary models for 10 years now. I wouldn't be happy with using just one model at home. That doesn't mean a single vape doesn't suit plenty of people. It's purely a personal preference.

I would. You may decide that those two are all you need. If not, you can always wait for the next Epicvape sale and save a few bucks on an e-nano.

THANK YOU ALL for the help!!!

Now I have my eyes on modding an EQ to a DDave mod too? I think i should get my 2 vapes before makking any calls on anything else i might want or need.

The posts i have seen saying a EQ with a Ddave mod is even better than a SSV has me intrigued.

I have an EQ with a mod. I don't have the EVO but I don't really think you need both. From what I've read, the Evo is a bit better than the EQ even with the mod. Still, I'm happy with my EQ plus I have an UD and a barely used e-nano.
Maybe you would do better checking out some portables since the ones you are getting seem more than adequate.

OK Thanks guys. I'm actually covered on portables. I have a solo and 2 vapmans. Well, 1.5 vapmans. My cat keeps stealing the bottom half of my Walnut vapman. she doesn't touch the maple one. Fuck if I know why.

How is she separating the halves? Why not just store in egg? My friend has similar issues with his ferret, albeit its with his keys.

I would suggest waiting on the log decision as well.

Knocked it on the floor, came apart, stole only one of the halves!

Edit: Well I didn't take ANY of your advice and bought a LSV in classifieds. so HA!
