I've got a Dabado Bolt battery powered dabbing nail with the glass bubbler.
How in the HELL do you clean out the glass bubbler?
I've soaked it overnight in a closed container of 91% isopropyl, but it won't dissolve all the goop inside.
The problem is all of the inaccessible chambers that you can't get in and scrape clean.

I've got the glass version with the slots, and using with water the slots plug up after only 4-6 good dabs.
Running the bubbler dry, I can dab around 15-18 times before it'll plug up. But then it's so thick, the isopropyl won't dissolve it.

Any ideas? Like a better fluid to clean with, or a better take-apart bubbler that would fit the Bolt, or a $$$ ultrasonic cleaner?

Help!!

You almost got it. Pour in some table salt with the Iso. Make sure it's in all areas. Cover the the top with the palm of your hand and the hole with your finger and shake the hell out of it. Mid way through your cleaning you can run some hot water over the glass, making sure not to get it in the bubbler.

i heard about PBW (powdered brewery wash) on this forum
its designed for those hard to reach places

i used on my cheap budgie bubbler which sits on top of my S&B plenty (dried herb - no concentrates)

now every slot is clean as a whistle

pretty cheap
- you mix a scoop with warm water and soak for 30min then rinse

it has same ingredient as oxy clean for cleaning clothes but this is food safe

Magnets can help if the glass allows.

I soak in "simple green" first, then salt + iso + shaking, then water rinse.

Simple green can really soften the gunk up.

I have not tried PBW yet, it sounds scary.

Grunge off works wonders if you are able to submerge the entire bubbler into the solution (in a jar or glass container).

Good topic. Try pbw or tsp or even vinegar and then baking soda like a volcano. Also you might even be able to just put it under hot running water. It takes a while but everything gets hot it starts washing away. You could probably even run the tap until real hot and submerge the thing replacing the water a few times in a pail and then run hot water through it. I wouldn't put boiling water into a cold bubbler, but maybe it is no problem? I don't think water will get rid of mineral deposits though, if you have them.

With smoking utensils I have had resin totally stuck on, like it impregnated the glass and would just smear around but I never tried pbw or tsp before. Vapor condensation comes off easily with some elbow grease. Fuck combustion!

Use distilled water in your bubbler rather than tap water so you don't get mineral buildup. Vinegar should help with hard water buildup, and the reclaim seemed to build up on top of hard water marks for me. I stopped using tap water.

Clean your glass regularly and it won't be too daunting a task, you will get better performance and taste too.

There is a thread here called PB the chemistry of clean or something along those lines. Check it out!

Do a search too, looks like there are a number of similar topics. But I love me some clean glass for sure! It makes a huge difference.

The main trick here is too heat the glass and the iso a little as showed above with the hot water .

I didn't use salt since i have none, instead i used my espresso steam wand with glass wrapped in a shirt.

Everything came right off first steam than add the iso after the hot water is drained

Salt and Iso with a quick shaking has been all I needed for cleaning. The salt is important because it boosts the ability of the Iso to clean things. Believe it or not the main reason for adding salt is not abrasive cleaning but chemical cleaning. "Salting" a solution of water and alcohol will drive the alcohol out of solution and allow it to better clean things.

For all little glass/metal/plastic pieces, a $30 ultrasonic jewelry cleaner works wonders. They also work really well for keeping screens in pretty new condition, for a really long time. If you plan on sticking with vaporizing, I highly recommend picking one up.

@EverythingsHazy

thanks for info
..somewhere at the back of my mind i was wondering about ultrasonic cleaners
No problem, man. It's definitely one of my favorite vape tools. You can get a grinder that hasn't been cleaned in years, to look brand new, in 15 minutes. Just remove any rubber seals, and don't leave plastic in iso for long, to prevent brittleness. Some types of plastic shouldn't be exposed to iso at all.

I also recommend using the ultrasonic cleaner on your grinders kief screen, because once the screen gets sticky, you'll collect less kief than when it's nice and clean.

Thank you VAPEHUNTER, that picture show was very excellent!
All I have in the house is Sea Salt, will that work?

I'd like to see/try some of that powdered brewery wash, where do you get that stuff at cloudsosmoke?
Any special brand name used?

Yes, sea salt will work too, I use any salt that I happen to grab, this month it was Epsom salts from under the sink, last month it was pickling salt, before that it was sea salt and so on :p
