QWISO - can I use same iso on add'l herb?

All the instructions i have been finding seem to indicate only swishing one batch of herb with the iso, but is that because the iso cannot break down more or...some other reason?

If I swish more than one batch of material, will it make the resulting concentrate stronger?

We did some trim and it was pretty weak, wondering if I can take my second batch, not yet evaporated, and run some bud through it to increase overall potency? It is already in the freezer, so it would be convenient if that would be possible. But if it will not extract, then I do not want to waste time and flower.

Ultimately, I need to dilute this so I can load my VIP pen to use stealthily when I start classes. Me, my Haze, and my flowers are apparently too odorous and get noticed. I can vape the weak stuff in my Haze, too, but the pen looks like an ecig and will be easy to step out with the smokers and vape.

Thanks.

Using the same alcohol for multiple washes will only make your alcohol more concentrated. The end product will be the same. The more concentrated your alcohol the more loss you'll have from things that absorb liquid such as the plant material and filters. I prefer to use more alcohol than less and keep washes separate. ISO is cheap anyways.

I can't recommend combining those washes. Flower produces a noticeably higher quality product than trim. Keep the good stuff separate.

woolspinner,
Hi guys !

not to open another thread, I decided to ask here:
In the filtering, instead of using organic coffee filters, which always ends up absorbing something that said using a stainless steel filter? Thus filters, but does not absorb anything! Now my doubt is that microns choose?

I needed to chime in here to say that you can't just keep using the same iso to extract more and more resin into the solution indefinitely. Eventually, there is a point where the composition/properties of the existing mixture of iso/resin is changed so much (as in the resin vs iso ratio increases greatly on the resin side) to the point that subsequent washes will retain less and less actives from the new material being washed.

I tended to use a maximum ratio of 8 fluid oz to half a zip of high quality flowers (back before I completely abandoned solvent extraction). If extracting from more material, you should use more solvent or you risk not getting all of the goods IME!
