Thanks everyone! This is my first desktop so, I'm pretty amped about it lol. While I love my portables, I think its time for a desktop. I'm sold on the Nano and I'll be buying a kit and holder tray in a week or 2. Looks like the angled method will work for me with the stem, and I'll grab a GonG as well as I have a waterpipe here that needs to be used.

In my portables I use a fine to fine/medium grind. Do I need to use a coarse grind with this one? I don't plan on buying the glass screen stem/GonG (unless you guys recommend it lol).

If anyone has the glass, non adjustable gong or stem.... I found that a $4 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Insten-Re...ver-Repair-Bar-Link-Band-Pin-Jeweler/46194975 watch spring bar removal tool doubles as the perfect bowl accessory. The single pointed end fits right into the holes to clear clogs. The wider end works wonders as a poker to crush and stir herbs.

Im used to grinding my herbs but this weekend I experimented with the tool...used small chunks of unground nuggets, packed down, hit at a slightly lower than usual temp. has been resulting in great flavor. Then a quick crush and stir with the tool and bam it's grounded.

Started playing around with my technique because I thought my nano was hitting weak yet nothing in my setup had changed. I'm a die hard supporter of grinding, coming from the mflb and air but im finding that with the nano i prefer whole chunks.

Anyways, the reason for the crappy hits is I have to really twist my gong into place to get a good seal with my bubbler. not really a problem but i used to be able to just plop it in and use it. I guess after a little over a years use the glass is slightly wearing.

On a side note, everyone should get a nato watch band.

oh, lastly, i dabbed a bunch of mineral oil i use on my wood butcher block and cutting boards onto a paper towel and applied it to my nano while it was on a low setting so that it was warm to the touch. i then turned it off overnight. the oil really deepened the wood color and i think gives it a nice almost gloss finish.

Usually I use a fine to a medium grind, it's almost a cornmeal consistency.

I also hold my nano horizontal and the cannabis holds together after heated and I don't have any problems with material falling into the heater. I'm sure some does at times but doesn't cause any problems.

I use mine as a session vape, I give it a stir about half way through my 10 - 15 min session. I've been using a small fingernail file to stir, some folks say they use a nail.

If it feels like I have a restricted draw often it's because I put too much cannabis in the stem. If it's too full the cannabis butts up against the heater. It gets too packed and there isn't enough air flow.

My temp is anywhere from 5.75 to 6.50 depending on my particular cannabis strain. Some Nanos run slightly hotter or cooler.

Lately I've been using my J hook late at night before bed. It seems to really do a good job of extracting the good medicine from the cannabis.

Edit
When buying glass buy 2 at a time. Late at night when medicated and tired is when I break glass most of the time. @ataxian you're not alone.

I grind what I consider a medium grind but that is one of those individual choice things. Some folks don't grind at all and just break the nugs up a little. The one thing that really makes for a bad hit is going too fine or packing too tight and really choking out the air flow.

I spent $1000's in GonG's?
Funny I almost ordered some stuff from www.epicvape.com
420 hit and the rest is history!

I think it's cheaper to add an electric outlet were I vaporize in my garden!
Another portable?
Another NANO would be better!

Yeah, I was on the fence about a few portables. I have 3 already that I rotate between. I've been vaping about 2 years now and thought I'd add another vape. Honestly I've been irritated with my portables. Don't get me wrong, they're great, but man things go wrong with them, or a new version comes out and it doesn't work as well....

Either way, a Nano is way more bang for the buck, if you have the room for a desktop. Can't wait to order up my Nano now! I've watched some vids and I'm really impressed with its performance!

I usally break a peice off .05 or so and flaten it out and shape it to be able to evenly cover the screen hit it a couple of times then grind with the e-pic.

Could be just me but seems to be more efficient than grinding

Oh well that's what warranties are for.

Whoa, how did that happen?

It just did, came back to my room picked it up and noticed the split, without trying to sound like a sales rep for the company it's a handmade product made out of natural materials. So there is an always going to be an inherent risk of an internal void or defect that could cause this to happen, that being said I am in the minority of the many, many nano owners and the ones that have had one crack or split. There's a 3 year warranty (lifetime on the heating element) so it will get fixed, I just can't ever seem buy anything electronic without it showing up defective / breaking in a few days, been like that since I was a kid. I review warranties obsessively before I buy things out of necessity.

Nice. Love the lifetime warranty on the heating element and the 3 year on the log part. Looks like I'll be placing my order on Friday or Saturday for my E-Nano! Uncle Sam processed me MUCH faster than I expected.

So sorry you're in pain! Glad the nano is working for you though.
That's something I'm very thankful I don't have to deal with...at least not at my young age. Time will tell.
Goodluck to you, and feel better!
Don't forget to push those temps up for better pain relief. I'm sure you know this already though!

thanks for the well wishes! im using it on 7 right now for some fuller extraction for pain relief! mj does a good job of "altering" the pain sensation, so its still there, but a much LESS intense sensation, it seems to be one of the only things that helps so im extremely thankful for that and this community!

Since joining here ive learning more about mj and how to use it as medicine at different temps, its truly been a great source of knowledge and support. I learned alot about DABS/WAX here and Ive begun using that for more intense pain, overall im very thankful for all of you guys here on FC :D

You could just buy a new cord from EpicVape and deal with the return at your leisure, have someone repair the cord locally or continue as you are doing now. In that vein it might help if your presentation was a bit clearer. Maybe not the best choices in the world but it is what it is.
