Anyone still using steel wool for concentrates? I use the nano anywhere from 6-8.3. I have a drop down thats kept my fc 710 clean for almost a year but wondering if whats collected is always safe to eat or has an expiration. Anyone have any tips or tricks for similar use of a nano?
6.0 is my level with my current COLAS.
I use cotton for wax in my NANO.
Steel mesh I have some however I don't use it.

So if your nano isn't clicking on until three on the dial you should either add 2.5-3 to temp setting others have posted i.e 6 for me would be nine for you, it isn't the nano running cold but the dial not actually being where the indicator states. Someone please correct me if I am wrong but I seem to remember from my time hanging out here before I bought a nano that the dials being off was fairly common at one point in time, and the solution is to simply pop the dial off turn the actuator inside all the way down and replace the dial with the arrow aligned at zero. After that it should click on around 1 and your settings will more relative to those who post about what setting they use their nano at.

Mine also clicks on at 1.

@nondarb I would take @CarolKing's suggestion. Once your temp dial is calibrated you might also need a slower draw and lower temp. I found when upping the temp to use my D020-D I had trouble milking it without scorching. I could still exhale nice clouds but the bubbler wouldn't milk up. I switched to using the same temp I use on the dry stem, and a slower draw speed with my bubbler and it gets thicker milk now.

Also, it just occurred to me, are you using a step down converter? I remember reading many many pages ago about someone having trouble getting clouds because their step down wasn't powerful enough.

Mine maxes at 10 on the dot though? After my experiment with finding my scorch/combustion cap I may adjust the dial accordingly. It seems pretty unanimous that 8+ is most folks scorch point.

Im literally pulling so slow my perc won't fire evenly, No converter. I'll give your other advice a try a bit later.

Im almost off work and just received notice my vapman has been delivered, I'll have to tinker with it a while before resuming my nano studies. Thanks to all of you for helping me troubleshoot so far!

HI, I just ordered an E-Nano and am looking forward to trying it out. I'm waiting until it arrives to ask any questions but I am grateful for newbie advice. I have never used a dry herb vape before and in fact, recently got my MM Card so I am relatively inexperienced. I smoked recreational around 20 years ago and a lot has changed plus I am trying to approach this differently. I am treating it as I would any other medicine. I am looking for small controlled doses so I can carefully monitor effects. I am treating back and knee pain as well as anxiety related ailments.

Welcome to the board, hope we can answer whatever questions you may have.

Similar story here. You're gonna have less pain and more fun :peace: Enjoy

Welcome to the E-Nano family! Everyone's needs are different, and every nano is unique, so it's hard to offer advice blindly. The most useful advice I can give you at this point is only change one variable at a time, so you can see how that variable effects vapor quality.

Having an extra electrical cord comes in handy to have. Also if one cord has problems, you have an extra one as a backup. If you are having any problems with your unit, you would know if it was the unit or the cord.

When ordering a new unit, buy an extra cord. Get extra mouthpieces too because "oh shit" sometimes happens especially late at night when you are medicated and tired. Ask @ataxian.

@nondarb it sounds like your nano has too low of heat. Maybe 7.5 would work better as a vaping temp. Play around with temps and amounts of cannabis to find your sweet spot. Andy will send you another temp cord, I'm sure if you need a new one.

I didn't find that the Enano had much of a learning curve.

I took to the vapman overnight (not mastered mind you) and its supposed to actually have a learning curve! :\

I'm a little concerned with my unit or cords health, I hardly touched it last night but will get back at it today. I temp stepped to true scorching, was around 8.3. I was wrong about my dial, it starts a hair past 2 not 3 as I had said before.

Its "working", but I seem to overpower the heater first hit (once again so slow my perc barely fires, I say overpowering because any time I get milky vapor it seems to cease in 5 seconds). I'm certainly not milking glass like the dozens and dozens of nano videos I watched while deliberating my decision.. Frankly I'm getting more cloud production from an arizer solo.. and I know that's not right.

Looks like i will have to do the same, mines just stopped heating, but my blue light comes on....smh. Knew i shouldve gotten the evo just incase

Good luck with it. I'm sure Epic will get you sorted out.

And good idea on having a back up vape. I'd say if you have the means, do that regardless of what vape you use as your primary. Stuff happens.

I would suggest having a backup for your backup. :brow:

and then some.

I have a bunch of vapes that can be used based on the need. I will tell you that they are all collecting dust right now as the nano rules the roost and holds court over all others. If my nano were to be out on repair, I would probably start attaching my Lotus cap to my waterpipe via the wpa gong (another favorite of mine and @ataxian too).

im the opposite, ive really been digging the all glass dry stem lately, barely ever use it through water thoughI do have the adjustable GonG

It's not that I don't like the dry stem, I just always end up making a mess. I rarely used the one for my LSV until I found out a basket screen in the end will keep the cannabis from falling out till I want it to. I plan on getting a Jhook so I can "dry stem" it with a gong and flip the nano to use instead of the wand, the stock stem will go in the drawer for emergencies.

*Edit
@nondarb got my FC-200 in the mail today which is bigger and has a decent amount more drag to it when used with the nano and gong than my D020-D and it is much easier to get big milky hits out of at pretty much any draw speed. So if you are still having issues and you have a piece with more drag / volume or you can add some drag with an ash catcher or something, might be a simple variable to play with. I was pretty surprised with the difference visually.
