Are there any toxins produced by vaping weed? And does a filter help remove them?

Im a bit of a hypochondriac, i admit, but i want to know if there are any toxins produced by vaping. I have been using a Da Buddha for three years and also purchased a water filter for it last year. Does that help any, as far as toxins go? One commenter on an article i read said vaping produces gasified resins. Im not really sure what that means but it sounds ominous.

I just want to know what im getting in to. Plus weed only seems to only make me bored, hungry, and horny lately and i only vape 2-3 times a week.

I was thinking edibles might be a fun way to change things up and it's supposed to be healthier, but thats only assuming the grower doesnt use chemicals, right?

Thanks all!

Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing.
I'm not going to be able to answer the vape chemical question. But from my prospective, I bet all that sugar and/or fat in the edibles I would eat would do me more harm than anything in the cannabis.

Sugar is legal, but unlike cannabis, it almost made me diabetic (and still might some day).

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of infusing it into coconut oil and then mixing with PB, no sugar needed. Personally i think all fats are healthy besides trans fats and polyunsaturated veg oils like soybean. I also think sugar is fine in moderation, but i wouldn't want to ruin the taste of a dessert with weed butter.

Okay I'm no doctor but it's the same concept as a vacuum and using a hepa filter.

The vape draws air from somewhere. You air may be dirty/filled with particles. Pollen, dust, what have you. A vape with a hepa filter would remove those contaminants more than a vape without.

You already have a handle on the problem of answering the question. Too many unknowns for anyone to make a call on toxicity without access to the MJ and and lab services needed to run analytical testing. Like many things in real life its often a throw of the dice.

this is a thread from a few years back , http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vaporization-health-research-real-facts.1597/ and there was another one were someone tested there water tool water with a aquarium water test kit but i dont have that link right now.

anyway for fun i did a little experiment of my own, because im a bit of a fish nut and happen to have water test kits .
what i did was use a solo planet vape gong stem , packed pretty good with some nice cannatonic from a Canadian licensed producer tilray , thc 14.4 % cbd 10.5 % .
i started at 5 on the solo and finished on 6 . as you can see with the amount of water filtration i had i was able to scrub about 2 ppm ammonia which is not a lot .
but that is only the amount i was able to extract in that amount of water . i have no real way of knowing what total percent of ammonia was not captured and inhaled .
anyway i also smoked about the same amount through the same water tool and the amount of ammonia captured was slightly more but not a huge amount more . unfortunately i didnt take pics of the smoked test results but they were only slightly worse then the vape results .
