Congratulations to USA for taking the current Word Strongest Man title for 2015.

It was won by Brian Shaw (Left), which is his third title. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Shaw_(strongman)

It was an epic battle with Big 'Z' (centre) looking to equal the current record and win a 5th title, but came 2nd, with Hathor 'Thor' Bjornsson (Right - Game of Thrones - Mountain) once again failing to win his first title coming 3rd.

It was also good to see Eddie Hall (below) from GB showing strong form in 4th place and is only 27, so hopefully a chance for GB to win in the future.

Again well done and congratulations to U.S.A. for having the stongest man in the world!

Congratulations on ingesting huge amounts of chemicals and shortening your life.
Or is he "all natural"?

Herb gardener...
Even if he is natural, being that big is using up precious heartbeats... and so possibly shortening his life anyway..

Not to mention the horrendous injuries they sustain.

A couple of guys during qualification and the world dead lift championships saw some serious torn ligaments and muscle rips.

Laurence Shahlaei may never compete again after he suffered a torn bicep and a detached triceps tendon.

Graham Hicks hurt himself quite bad a couple of times also.

So it definitely is not good for your body, a couple hit the deck or nearly from passing out from heat and exertion.

Still love watching it though, some real feats of strength that never fail to impress me.

It's just another example of how we still like a good old freak show...

Iv seen some pretty bad blow out injuries from weight lifting, fuck that...

But yes it is impressive what a human can do when conditioned...

I think the power lifting world believes in the use of steroids. I could be wrong. But I think I heard the winner Shaw and his brother on the joe rogan podcast talking about taking steroids. Almost common knowledge type of banter. I think this type of livelihood is more of a addiction than anything else. I do think being strong as hell is still pretty cool. But that fucking dead lift is one of the things that fucked my back up. I hate the thought of doing that lift.
