That's such a bummer to hear, i've been nervous thinking about buying the Crafty again, but is there ANY stealthy portable that is even in the same league? The only issue that bothers me is the battery, it just doesn't seem to last. @fumes what is your current warm up time from room temp (20c) to 180c? If the vibration is intermittent and when it works it's weak, that could be the battery, but who knows... I had similar issues with both of my Mighty's.... intermittent and weak but also temps would sometimes not reach desired set temp, but mostly when the batteries were below half.

Maybe i'll just wait another few months and see if anything changes for the better.

So far the battery life & warm up time still seems good. I'm not going to bother with another warranty return until something more critical starts failing.

Was hoping these 2.08's may have had the previous bugs worked out. Not looking good...

If you buy another one i would do the lifetime warranty with vapornation....just a thought

Completely forgot about that! Man, I need to take a break... Thanks for the reminder!! I bet batteries aren't covered though.

Buying a Crafty. They also sell this maintinence kit that contains some things I've never heard of. Is this kit necessary? What are the pads about?

I don't think you need the kit now. You can always get it later. The pad is used as a spacer if you don't want to fill the oven, and for concentrates. I use and prefer a screen instead of using the pad. Just cut a wedge out of it so it looks like pacman. Then fold it into a cone. It helps keep the cu clean too.

Another question. Can someone point me to the "firm" q-tips people have talked about to clean the cu? I just went to CVS and went blind trying to find them.

Yup i im getting one now since its a lifetime warranty. N yea baterries probably , how much are the batteries to replace

Bah, the housing of my Crafty broke off, thanks to the Vapefiend waterpipe adapter and my own stupidity. I still can put the CU on top because only one side broke but the waterpipe adapter doesn't work, back to connecting it to my Orbiter.

Don't know if I'm gonna send it in, I have 70+ hours on the thing and it's still working perfect.

How's the battery performance? Heat up time? How did it break by your own stupidity? You accidentally over tightened it? How do you like the vapefiend WPA overall?

I'm gonna dig around a bit. But I'm curious as to if the batteries on this are improved at all.

I don't care if it needs charged often, that I can only get a few bowls per charge or that it charges quickly/slowly....(hope quickly though) but what I do care about is degradation of the batteries over time. How long after getting a new unit are you guys starting to notice a decrease in battery charge/performance?

I was hesitant on the Crafty because of that. For what it's worth, I've had a Mighty about 7 months now, and stock I could get 7/8 sessions out of it fully charged. Now I get about 6/7. A very slight amount of degradation iMO. Best guesstimate for me is that I've used it probably 150 (at least 100, doubt more than 200) times, cold start to temp, vape, turn off.

Edit: I'm vaping at 385-395. I've gotten more sessions on low temps. Just was averaging it out.

Just something that caught my eye. Not really in the market right now, but I reckon that this (or other portables) will be on my shortlist next time VAS hits.

The battery performs almost the same, I can get 3/4 sessions before the battery is out of juice.
I had the WPA-adapter on the Crafty, then it dropped on the ground, I don't recommend the WPA because you can see that the housing don't like the WPA-adapter, I only had it for 5 days :(

Now i'm back using the stock CU and my whips with the Orbiter

I've had several Anker brand battery backups and have been very pleased with them. Just check out Amazon and see which size has the best value at the moment. The Crafty battery is 2600 mAh I believe, so you can use that number to determine how many charges you can get out of the pack. Example, a 10,000 mAh battery pack could recharge the Crafty ~4 times (10,000/2,600).

I'd currently recommend the Anker E5. Great price, reliable, fast charging. Hard to beat. The E5 has 16,000 mAh battery, so you should get 5, maybe 6 charges from it.

I use these at festivals for power for my phone/vape all the time. Life savers.

Totally agree with @Roth. I have two Anker and they have been excellent.
