Import Quartz Banger safe to use?

I was given a "no-name" quartz banger, I seasoned it and got a weird plastic smell, but I think that was from over heating it.

A quick google search about using cheap quartz bangers gave me a few threads that say import quartz bangers can have impurities like aluminum in them. However, I have yet to find any credible sources.

If this was true, that impurities such as aluminum are used to make cheap quartz, wouldn't whatever impurities get destroyed in the process if making the quartz? Isn't quartz made at a much higher temp?

Is there any reason I should be concerned to use a import quartz banger?

Thanks!

I don't think so but I don't know. I'm pretty sure this topics been covered before, maybe some xrensive searching will help. That or someone more knowledgable about nails will chime in.

Common sense tells me Quartz is a fairy cheap and simple substance. I would see no need to add shit to it and if you did to any serious level it probably wouldn't be the same material anymore. Iirc Quartz is a very basic formula, silica and maybe one Other thing.

Sure you'll be fine
