Soggy herb when vaporising

I'm new to vaporising so excuse my possible noob question.

I got a new Arizer Air yesterday and gave it a whirl. First time, worked like a dream. After that though when I was vaporising, the dry herb kept going soggy and 'leaking'. I could actually hear the ?water hitting the oven and hissing. If I turned the unit upside down 'water' would run out of the mouthpiece.

This was herb I have had for a few months, but only freshly chopped. First lot was some gear that was chopped a few days ago.

Is this normal? Is it simply that the herb was a bit wet still and therefore there was too much water vapour? After it went really soggy it was quite hard to draw on and was getting no vape at all.

Any help appreciated.

Your are correct. Dry material will produce more vapor. Chop it up and leave it out to dry
for a while.

A vaporizer doesn't do well with herb that hasn't been cured well. Not like the old days when you could just throw it in a pipe. I like my cannabis well cured but not too dry.

Never heard of weed causing or creating enough moisture through vaporizing to actually see 'water' draining out if turned over.

Just how moist is this stuff? How much water are we talking about when turned over? Are you sure it's not just reclaim/honey oil building up? What color is the water? If it's reclaim it'll be kind of golden colored.

I know some have the tendency to drool into a vape or Water tool.... That would sog things up a bit.

I also have an Air and have never had the issues you have had. I'm not sure I have ever used herb as wet as yours in it though.

Water getting into the holes of the oven isn't good i'm sure so I wouldn't use such wet herb.

I would personally cure my herb to the correct dryness, or if you cannot wait simply grind the weed and let it sit open in the grinder for as long as it needs. I find dry herb works much much better in the Air.

I use a Mighty vape as my main device and I always use a two stage grinder and grind the bud very fine, then dump it through my space case and let the bud dry for a bit. Then it's nice and perfect for Vaping. Wet weed is harsh, low clouds, and lots of coughing....
