Yes, a firmware update somewhere along the way changed that on purpose. Tries to keep it closer to your set temp during draw and also helps ensure vibration goes as it realizes it went over set.

s&b told me the following:
What have you observed is the normal hysteresis curve during the heating. The software switches the heating process from relatively late to rapid heating to the target temperature to be guaranteed

While some people no doubt do have no issues with their Mighty units, when multiple people are posting that they have gone through 2, 3, and 4 units in a row with failures every time, don't try to downplay the issues just because you happen to have a unit that is still running flawlessly.

I agree good discussion, and I hear your point, but on the contrary what are these people doing that is causing 2,3,4 returns? I was aware there were caveats with this vape when I bought it (cracking fins chief problem at the time) and I was expecting to have to send it back at some point, and I haven't. I use it as directed lol, I just treat it very very well.

There are also plenty of users on Unit 1 and have it work flawlessly. Maybe like I said we are all the lucky ones :)

I'm probably jinxing myself with posts saying how mine still works great....will open it up soon to a cracked fin or two lol.

Exactly. You see pix of filthy, entirely un-maintained Mightys that have "failed". But any vape will perform poorly if you can't be bothered to take care of it. Ports are notoriously failure-prone, and if you combine massive use with neglect, you may get exactly what you ask for with that approach....problems.

We know there are legitimate issues with this device. What we don't know is the real failure rate...chatter on a board is a lot like the blind men grabbing bits of an elephant...they are sure they've got a snake, or a tree, but none of them can see the full picture from their perspective.

Or to re-frame it...remember eight months ago when no one said anything bad about the Mighty? You might have thought it was flawless. But it wasn't....just as it isn't catastrophic now. Spend some years of your life using the hell out of portable vapes, and you'll quickly adjust to the universal truth (I'll quote "Friends" again here)....sooner or later, they all stop lasting. Learn to navigate the exigencies of portable vapes and you will have a lot more Zen in your life. And maybe a few dead devices.:lol:

Ive had my mighty since June and its performed flawless. 16Xxx cereal. I unlike many here only use the Mighty for extended outings. Those may include, but aren't limited to Wife shopping, dinner dates, 3hr talent shows where my kid makes a 3 min appearance and things of that nature. When I'm home I'm exclusively EVO'D! I don't even bother grabbing the Mighty unless I just see it laying around and want to play with it. Unfortunately the water conditioning of the EVO and relentless heater makes where I'll normally only get a good one session off the Mighty before I'm running back to the EVO! Just wanted to
say I'm happy with my Mighty thus far.

I have never heard that before. Who did you contact, Oakland or Germany?

Germany, I used the link on the site and some customer service person gave me the occasional line. I should of took a picture but i do not want to annoy S&B.

Hey Guys & Girls,

Long time reader first time poster. I have owned my mighty for about 4 months now and have had no issues whatsoever with it, after reading about people having so many issues with their units I thought I would just chime in and let everyone know how I use mine and get the most out of it.

Now let me just say i've been vaporizing on/off for the last few years and the Mighty is the first vaporizer I have owned that has made me totally Fuck Combustion! I couldn't live without the mighty now. I also own a Vapecase Quarantine series case for it, car charger, D020-D bubbler and an 18mm adapter (which I purchased from ratchett's website - Thanks ratchett I love it!).

My Mighty is the only vape I use now and 95% of the time I use it with ratchetts adapter paired with the D020-D bubbler. It gets used all day everyday and has at least half an oz a week minimum go through it and usually at max temp. I generally start the day with smaller loads, gradually increasing to full bowls by the evening and instead of using the liquid pad, I usually just use a spare CU screen to hold the loads down tight, and remove the screen from the bowl when re-packing it with a needle tip. I never do a second bowl without letting the CU cool down first - The only time I ever take the CU off the unit while still hot is when I am going to clean it (makes it easier to take the cu apart and collect the oil etc). Once or twice a week I take apart my cooling units and soak them in 100% iso with salt and give them a shake for a couple of mins, rinse in hot water, wipe down everything with iso soaked qtips and soak 1 more time for a few mins before final hotwater rinse and dry. I clean the bowl usually once a week with 100% iso, qtips and an old liquid pad soaked in iso spun around inside the bowl if it's extra dirty. I hardly ever use my mighty while it is charging and try to avoid charging straight after use while batts are still warm.

So with doing the above I have now had 4 months of heavy daily trouble free use from my Mighty. It still looks brand new and I haven't noticed any reduction in battery life. My unit serial number is in the MY015000 range.

Vape on my friends.

Hey guys! I just got a Mighty from Randy at Puffitup (great experience btw, make sure to email him for the best price possible) and it is awesome, just wanna share this deal I found on a case for it.

http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/22-24125 is $9.99 shipped after coupon code ST150

There is also a yellow one. I figure, the Mighty was a huge investment so I might as well get it a decent case. Hope this helps someone out!

I find that cleaning the filling chamber is crucial for keep the mighty (mine is 20XXX) at max performance.it's like day vs night. it is important that the chamber looks clean before any load.
underneath the screen as well, when you can see visual junk.

I also help the system to cool down. after i finish a bowl i take a few more draws when it's off and after a quick clean i keep the 2 pieces separately in open air for a few minutes to cool down.

i fill you all guys with unworking units, and hope s&b start to take their Warranty siriusilly with you.
obliviously this unit isn't perfect, and have his soft spots and better to be aware of it when using it.
treat it like your phone or so, it's fucking expensive, and need to be take care like one.

I apologize for asking but

"How many good hits with bowl filled using the S&B filling gizmo, then using the little red S&B tool to tamp it down so it's right where the rubber hits the road, assume 186C "

Gotta be a zillion threads about this topic but I couldn't get Search to work for me.

Apparently the 3-4 hits I just got out of my Mighty using Vapefiends glass adapter and the D20 were enough to cause me to forget about pain. On top of the RX meds I take daily it has not only helped but I'm having fun! Maybe that's why I couldn't use Search correctly.

I have used the adapter several times and have been highly impressed by its design and functionality. Yes, the pun was intended. But damn nice adapter! I'd like to post some pictures but am having difficulty doing so. Embarrassing! Hit the image button on to and paste the url. But I think I need a new online free photo site. I have one called Dropbox but don't know how to use it properly.

I'm hoping to shop at a store here in Anchorage next year that at least resembles the ones I've read about, drooled over the menu offerings , watched videos etc. And be able to read a report from the testing facility about my particular choice.

I have an idea what's possible with testing because I used to read the Pharmchem report during my college radio days at KZSU in the 70's.

Looking at some of the online menus etc. of stores in Colorado is like Cannabis Porno.

Anyway, how many good strong hits from a tamped down full bowl of something called Hawaiian? Doing long slow draws, maybe 20 seconds. I have a 5 MP Celestron USB microscope and would like to post pictures. This is where I was hoping TESTING would make it possible for me in Anchorage, to discuss vaping some Super Lemon Haze with a pal living in Vancouver, and we both had the same stuff. Sort of like Jack. Did you know Sinatra was buried with a bottle. Class!

Here in Alaska it's legal to have a bottle of Jack in your car. If it's open I think it's supposed to be carried in the backseat. But in Anchorage my weed has to be in an opaque childproof container. And has to be carried in the trunk with the other nuclear weapons.

I once actually paid $5 for a matchbox that had some reindeer pulling a sled complete with glitter "snow". Inside was marijuana. Truth be told I was more interested in the tattoo the seller had on her belly.

Boner pills have been legal forever Nationwide, but the Fed's still have it as Schedule 1.

I love my Mighty so much I just might give it a hug. Oh shit it was hot FML.... Lol

You have a wonderful avatar! Cats! Psychedelic! Reminds me of a Yorkshire Terrier named "Muffin". For some unfathomable reason he decided to chew one of my jeans pockets that had a hit of Orange Sunshine wrapped in tin foil. Chewed the hell ought of it and only the part required to get to that tin foil. I had been planning on sharing it with a friend after we got out of the spa. Not the kind of night I expected. Honest, he seemed to like it. He'd always acted like he was on meth, but he was definately stimulated. I was horrified thinking I may be responsible for his death. I prefer dogs like Chesapeake Bay retrievers not small breeds. But I became attached to him and I miss him and the lady who loved him.

I have a Tonk who is passed out at the moment in his heated KittehBed

i think i can't answer your q, because i never fill the chamber full. usually if i'm alone 0.1-0.2g.
usually i get 15+ medium draws(5 at 180, 5 at 195,5 at 210). if i fill it full, i can seat half and hour or so to finish it and it feels like neverending clouding.
the quality of the medicine is also a big part of this. 0.1 of finest medicine could compare to 0.4-0.5 of non quality medicine, clouds speaking.
i wish i could check for you with full chamber, but i'm in lack of herb at the moment. :\

I apologize for asking but

"How many good hits with bowl filled using the S&B filling gizmo, then using the little red S&B tool to tamp it down so it's right where the rubber hits the road, assume 186C "

The question about number of hits is interesting and surely there's a way to measure, but that needs be in the hands of a lab somewhere (and very likely is!). So many variables. Wife and I share a Crafty (and a Pax 2, which we do like). So, right away, variation in the samples, but...

With Crafty full of quality and promise, set at 186, it goes on for a while. The vaping, that is, ahem. 4 to 6 very nice full of flavor and it tapers off from there. I find it incredibly difficult to keep count :hmm: but 16 to 20 total; still traces of cloud happening but we realize by then, the ride has come to a stop and we should turn it off (to conserve battery). Longer sessions like this can happen about 3 times per Crafty charge.

Still, after this, the avb makes pretty good butter for yer brownies!

Graduating temperature along the way would yield different results (and more thorough vaping, darker avb) but that's wandering even farther off the trail.

I've been doing some casual trials with a home made bubbler in the interest of science and to determine if I want to spend $ on some modest glass, and I'm liking it. Obviously different count, since it's usually at 210C and I would rarely fill it up. I think this method favors small-ish bowls (cover with extra screen or oil pad), though I've also found the Crafty will over-heat and shut down (eventually fail outright) if you push it too hard. I try to give it some chances to cool down before it reaches over-heat. Mighty sounds more robust, but we still have to keep in mind these are not Volcanos!

My pair of defective Mighty units arrived at S&B yesterday, but I haven't heard anything by phone or e-mail as of yet. Anyone know what I should expect in the way of response time from S&B for warranty replacements?

In other news, I bought a Plenty yesterday, and it is totally awesome. The intensity of flavor and incredibly strong vapor are something to be reckoned with. All the same, it makes me miss my Mighty :)

How could they fuck that up? Anyone else experiencing that with their vapefiend easyflow things?

People on Reddit are posting about problems with the Gong adapter.

I bought the easy flow mouthpiece and it would fall out. I had to send it back at my own expense for a refund. Vapefiend were really difficult to deal with.

For what it's worth because of my business, I'm now getting spam from vaporizer and E-cigarette manufacturers in China trying to sell me shit. I noticed last week the Vapefiend adapters for sale from a chinese manufacturer at very low cost. I'm sure that's why the quality standards are so low. Hell they probably based the design off a knockoff Mighty

Still working on my CU-Mod SonG for the Mighty, but it should be finished soon! Had to rebuild the damn print-head on my 3D printer 5 times over the past two weeks but I finally managed to print a new SonG mold! Hopefully this 4th revision will be the winner - wish me luck

I can't find this said anywhere in that thread (maybe I don't know how to use that site) nothing about any falling out, or saying vapefiend were difficult to deal with, I know you have had problems with vapefiend in the past but can't find it said in that thread.

I did see someone on there had one and had problems with it but I'm sure they said vapefiend sent them another one without needing the problem one be sent in (but I can't see that anymore, so could be I don't know how to use that site properly)

I can see that a couple people over there don't like it or maybe have problems with a proper seal, the adapter I have seems to seal fine and it works great (but I've never tried the muzzmod so maybe I'm missing something, guess I will have to make one at somepoint to see, and then also try whatever @Ratchett comes up with for the crafty) i guess with any glass piece there is the potential for things to not be perfect (which when talking about something that makes a seal is kinda important) I would like to think that it's just a small number of qc issue units that slipped through (time will tell) but who knows, I think I've seen more positive reviews than negative, but maybe what @Ratchett said means there could be qc issues.

Personally I've always found vapefiend easy to deal with, I've had things that weren't quite right and after sending pics they sent a new item out and I kept the old/damaged one no need to send in, and the one item I did have to send back cost me £3 for delivery but they sent me a free item worth £10 to make up for it, maybe I'm just lucky.

Anyway I'm not trying to rubbish anyone's opinion just share mine (which I will update after trying a muzzmod)

That was the first time I had ever dealt with Vapefiend. You are confusing me with someone else. I bought the easy flow mouthpiece.

Ahh sorry bud I misread things a little, I thought you were posting what people were saying on reddit, not that you had bought it and had problems, my bad, I also now see that you were talking about the mouthpiece not the wpa  again my bad, my head can be a pretty messy place at times.

I also have the glass MP but mine has never fell out, it does add a little restriction though, maybe it's just the company 'easy flow' as I have the Arizer air bubbler stem made by them and the quality is questionable.

Again sorry for the mix up :peace:

I've been considering both of these glass pieces for my crafty, impressions seem positive overall but there's also enough issues to make me hesitate. Plus having to get them internationally is a minus in general.

This is insane to me cuz I might only get 1 or 2 visible clouds at a certain temp before having to move up to extract more. I feel like it's not my herb cuz I can take the ABV from my mighty, put it in my cloud+ and get milky clouds for far longer and that's not even fresh herb.

Dunno if mine's not actually heating up to what it says or what :(

The unit is pretty hot by the end. I eventually crank it to 410, so I dunno wth is up
