Got brand new unit after sending in defective one. Really like the new housing and longer shut off time. Unfortunately those improvements also come with only about 65% of the battery life my original Mighty had. I almost wish I could get one of the old ones new instead because I really miss those extra 2-3 bowls. Oh well, life is a trade off...

imo its because the auto shut off stays on a lot longer now, if you shut it off after a min i bet the battery life is the same, going to run out faster if its on longer?
but then again i have known to be wrong

I have seen several people post about it over the last 40 pages or so since people started getting new units, not enough to start a riot, but enough that I was a little worried.
I do not think it has anything to do with the auto shutoff because I instantly would turn mine back on anyway during session so the vape is on the same amount of time. The new version does feel more powerful though, I am getting an ever fuller and denser extraction at lower temperatures than before so I believe that maybe the Mighty is now really utilizing it's power. But I do not know shit, only going off what I have experienced. I also believe that the new firmware has a higher % of the battery set aside for reserve power so that it does not go 100% dead.

I told S&B and they fed me that bullshit about the shut off timer...yea right! Because I don't even use the shut off timer. I would rather have the new housing with the old firmware and minute timer

Just returned my Crafty for a Mighty (SN 20,XXX). It may be anecdotal, but the vapor seems much cooler. Also, I've got the reinforced fins toward the top.
I tested it and it took 1m 12s to heat up to 350F. It then shut off at 3m 12s. So, the 2 min shutoff is real.

To start you need a crafty or mighty cooling unit and a 18mm to 14mm reducer.
Unfortunately often times when you buy glass from eBay it has some sharp edges. This needs to be remedied.
So out comes the torch.
Ah, much better.
Take your cooling unit apart and save the extra bits to use for whatever.
Cut it in half with a hack saw making sure you don't cut into the bottom portion that your after.
Your left with a pretty rough looking piece.
Get out some medium grit sandpaper and place on a flat surface. Rub your piece back and forth to remove any high spots.
It will look like this when you have it just right.
Now use a clamp to hold your newly made piece to the reducer.
Make sure you get it good and centered.
Now mix your JB Kwik and very carefully using a bamboo skewer apply a thin layer around the edge where the two pieces meet. Try and be as neat as possible. No need to use to much.
And you are finished. Let it cure overnight then wash it really well. Insert a screen and enjoy.

Is the FC-187 v2 a great match for the Mighty? If I only get one piece, this may be it. Or the original Mobius Ion perhaps. I hear recyclers are great and if there are any recommendations, I'm all ears.
Some glass has a 14mm female interface but I haven't seen 18mm female to 14mm male adapters. They must not be common. Or should I also make a MuzzMod that's 14mm female to 14mm male? The FC-710 has a 14mm male interface so I'd need a 18mm female to 14mm female adapter with the MuzzMod to use it?

Stopped by my local head shop at lunch to see if they had any reducers so I could try a muzzmod with my leaky cooling unit. The only ones they had were rounded on the 18mm side so I'll keep looking, figured I want flush for a better seal? I guess the epoxy is outside the glass anyway so maybe it doesn't matter?
Saw that they brought in another Mighty (it's where I bought mine) so I asked to see it so I could point out the changes they made in case any customers asked.
As soon as I took it from the box, I knew it was a counterfeit.
The plastic was so cheap looking but I was assured of it when I showed him the lack of hologram on the logo. He was pretty surprised, took it off the shelf and told me he'd let the boss know. I'm hoping they didn't intentionally bring in the knockoff to try to sell for $470 (Canada) as mine was definitely genuine (as it's been sent to S&B for service).
Guess I'll pop back in next week and if it's back on the shelf I'll know.

one of my mighty's vibration sounds like it is on its last legs lol It's as if one of the motors or whatever causes the vibration has stopped working and it's at like 50%. Also doesn't vibrate at all at times...even turning it on and off....just silence, but then it will start working again. Never affects function and based on what i've been reading about the newer firmware and battery life, I think i'll keep my older originals until they seriously have something wrong with them. I LOVE the battery life of my Mighty's!

Damn my draw resistance kinda sucks now, after 4 months of use.
Is there any foolproof way to regain that fresh-out-the-box kind of draw resistance? Is there something more I should be doing in my cleaning sessions besides just scraping? I've replaced the screens recently, and done my best at cleaning out all gunk in the CU especially in/near the mouthpiece.

That's why I haven't sent in my SY12xxx unit. My retailer contacted me to tell me they had the newest version in stock but I decided to stick with my old unit due to the battery issue.
Soak the CU in ISO for 30 minutes. Use a cotton bud and make sure the shelf under the top screen is completely clean. Wash with water then you are right to go.

i got mine from a guy on eBay who claims that he bought his in canadain headshop. not sure if he knew his was a counterfeit or not - he claimed not too but i certainly felt scammed when he would not accept a return..

I have never touched my oven in any way in regards to cleaning it. I bought a new unit a couple of months ago and was very keen to experiment with the new unit compared to the old regarding the cleanliness of the oven in relation to performance. I found no noticeable difference whatsoever between the two units
