Anyone have any luck bringing vapes and such on a cruise???

Brought some dragon with me on a boat, but I'd watch out. I've seen them walk dogs around the luggage before loading it.

Weedists are always easy to spot... I wont risk it anymore and simply become friendly with someone that has got what you need.

what about edibles??? or concentrate & pen?

Not sure yet..... in the planning stages.... I know we will be leaving out of Florida... probably some western Caribbean action.

I just know it would be better if I could bring some meds

maybe some dabs for late night relaxing....or edibles ( candies)

I would not chance it. There is plenty in the caribbean. You will be approached within a half a hour after disembarking in any port there. Prices are fair as well. Metal detectors coming back onto ships so be careful with devices. I had a good bag after 10 minutes of being there. Go to the straw markets, they will be able to direct you to what you want. Hope this helps.

Course 99% of what you find on the islands is junk weed, sparse and poorly cured. Don't expect much from the local herb.

(Last time I went to the Islands, I was still combusting, so I don't know how it would taste in a vape)

Agree with most of what's posted above. Besides the risk on the ship itself (remember -those smoke detectors can be set off by steam from the showers, they are so darned sensitive-and security shows up pronto), what happens if you get caught while the ship is in port? Then aren't you subject to the drug laws in the country where you got snagged?

I have no interest in seeing any FC member having to defend themselves in some Caribbean island court. Scary and not worth it (in my book, anyways)...

I have been on about 10 cruises but have not been on one since I stopped combusting a little over a year ago. Been on Carnival and Royal C and I have always brought my own MJ with me BUT.... I live in Florida and that means I drive to the ship and I'm not taking anything on a plane. I'm way more paranoid about bringing MJ on a plane than a cruise ship. Here's how I've worked it....

I grind the MJ and fill gel-caps with it. I take the filled gel-caps (One Gel-cap is good for two days so on a 7 day cruise I may have 4 Gel-caps) and place them in a air tight jar with the rest of my meds and vitamins. I use a bunch of different vitamins/meds and along with my wife's vitamins/meds that air tight jar is filled with probably 50 or more kinds of gel-caps and pills. I also use ginkoba gel-caps as a daily supplement which look and even smell like MJ so those 4 MJ gel-caps are in the one big air-tight jar with about 50 or more of their cousins. I never take the air tight jar in my carry-ons and always put them in my checked luggage. My hope is that they are not so apt to check you for anything other than liquor on the way on. They will definitely check things when you return to the home port.

Once on board I find a aluminium can with soda or juice and turn it into a one-hitter using a nail clipper, tin foil, baby-pin and tape. I keep the can and MJ gel-caps in the room safe, in a air tight gallon baggie throughout the cruise.

We use the one-hitter in the bathroom with door closed and breath into the vent and/or use the breath into the towel technique or the breath into the dryer sheets technique. If I use the dryer sheet technique I flush it after taking a scissor to it and if I use the towel technique I spray it with cologne and wet the crap out of it and spray it again. Just before I leave the bathroom I'll spray some shampoo into the shower and leave it on hot to cause the shampoo smell to steam up the bathroom. When I leave that bathroom the last time there is no residual smell other than the cologne and shampoo. I take these precautions because on a cruise the person taking care of your stateroom knows the second you leave the room and will be in there cleaning seconds after you leave the room.

The last night before returning home is when I THROW AWAY EVERYTHING. I try not to have any MJ left over but if I do... I eat it. The real trick is finding a trash can you can anonymously throw the can into. Almost impossible to find a trash can without anyone around OR one that is not around a video camera. I usually head to the back of the ship and throw it all over the side ON THE LAST NIGHT. Why do I worry about video on the trashcan I throw the one-hitter into......because I know they bring the dogs on when you return to your home port and the dogs come on BEFORE you get off the ship.

We're getting ready for another cruise and I'm debating doing the above or switching out the one-hitter-can for a cheap throw away vape.

Here's the paranoid viewpoint I work from....
- I've seen people get taken off the ship in handcuffs for bringing drugs back on the morning we return to home port.
- I've seen the dogs come on board before they let people off the morning we return and have been told that after they get done touring the ship they are heading back to where the luggage is sitting out in the terminal.
- I was two families behind a woman who got caught with a jar full of pharmaceuticals she bought while on the cruise. The customs agent said in a very pissed off tone, after the woman admitted she didn't have a prescription, 'How could you be so stupid'! He then had her escorted to the customs room and I heard him and another agent talk about how pissed they were that they'd have to be going through the rest of her luggage AND her families luggage.

The basis for all of the above is a belief that they don't really spend too much time looking for things other than liquor when you first come on board. Of course I could just have been lucky so far....

Wow, coincidentally, I've used nearly this exact method many times. The gel caps absorb water though, so it tends to dry things out some.

Regarding the aluminum can, I flatten out the can and bring a thumb tack to poke holes in, although I think I like the tin foil idea better. How do you use the nail clipper??

Probably takes the file part and just pokes holes like you do with your thumbtack

I use the fingernail file portion of the nail clipper to make a hole in the can that will eventually become 'the bowl'...... I make the hole in the can with the nail clipper/fingernail file cause I don't mind ruining a 50 cent nail file by puncturing the can. The hole is about the size and shape of the tip of my index finger. I then mold the tin foil to the tip of my index finger to the first knuckle to form the bowl and make tiny holes in it so it acts like a screen. I then put that index finger tin foil mold, with the screen holes already in it, in the hole I made in the can. The pin hole portion of the tin foil is at the bottom of the index-finger-mold when I put it in the can hole. I don't spare the tin foil so I have plenty to work the tape against further away from the bowl/hole to make things air-tight. The trick is using enough tin foil so that the tape used to make everything air-tight is not near the bowl so the flames, when doing the one-hit, don't get near the tape and burn it.

I've taken infused gummies on a cruise out of New Orleans, flying out of Seattle. I did make sure to consume the last of them before coming back through Customs.

If you already have tin foil, there's an easier way. Just roll the foil around a pen, remove it, bend one end...voila. Working pipe. Just be careful when hitting, it can get hot.

Not as good as vaping, but for a makeshift pipe nothing is easier.
