Just read through the last 20 pages.
So glad it's Friday a hectic week.

After reading through quite a bit of the thread I see that folks have different styles when they medicate with their nano. Some use a tiny amount of herb and others use more. Some grind and some don't. Others fit their screens differently, while others like the glass fixed screens.

I just received a glass fixed screen stem. I plan on trying it out later. Thanks @ataxian for suggesting it. You had suggested the D022 bubbler. It looks so bare. You know way more about glass pieces than I do. I just have a couple of pieces. I do plan on adding to my vaporizing accessory collection. A new bubbler will be my next purchase. I will probably go through DHgate. The glass accessories stores in my town charge a fortune.

EDIT
Using some GrapeApe in the nano.
I love grape ape!
I have both USA ND China glass.
The D022 doesn't have much diffusion and it's a really inexpensive piece.
Most of my pieces I plan to cut off the mouth pieces and add male adapters.
Kind of like a large glass ash collector.

With vaporizing the less diffusion is best.
For herb irons or combustion diffusion maximized is better.
I have small bubblers for the SOLO and slightly larger for the NANO and even larger for my iron.
I'm sure the D020 - D is larger than a D020 original and therefore good for a NANO.
I have a FC -187 I like however I had to put a CHILLUM on the tip to enjoy the draw!
If I turn my collection into ash collector's I can use my SHERLOCK ' S (JHOOKS )!
I have a large jar full of GIRL SCOUT COOKIES.
Looks like I need something LEMON flavored!
My other jars some OG ' S that taste like grapes and ones that taste like perfume!

Hi folks,

I apologize for what are probably questions that have been answered many times, but searching through a 450+ page thread is challenging.

I am a solid Solo user and have a collection of PV gongs and OEM stems (straight & curved). Can my PV gongs and Solo stems be used with the Nano?

What is the most-recommended way to purchase a new Nano? Direct from the vendor or through a FC-recommended seller? (I'm in the U.S.)

Thanks in advance. Keep Calm and Vape On.

@hd_rider You can only get them direct from epicvape. Give them a call, Nadia was very pleasant to deal with. Make sure you mention that you're a fuckcombustion member.

The solo glass pieces cooould work if you're very careful about not putting the heating element right up on your herb. However, that would be waaay more hassle than worth it imo.

If I'm reading you right then gongs fit, since they're either 14 or 18.8mm. Epicvape has adapters for glass as well. Other vape stems may or may not work. The stem needs to be a snug fit on e-nano, so it's best to use the ones they make.

Aside from the occasional Massdrop sale, you have to buy from Epicvape, and since you get a lifetime warranty and a 10% discount (FCLOVE code) as an FC member, it's the only way to go.

This is not correct, I use my UD and HI (ong's) that fit on the outer stem of those vapes with my Nano's just fine. While they may not lock on and/or bring as big of clouds as the EV gongs, they most certainly don't have to be snug. Just hover over, it's certainly not as painstaking a task as some may think or make it appear so, just my two cents. :peace:

It's correct for me. When you change the air flow with a bigger stem, you change the temp you're getting. As long as the user takes this into account ......

Ohh so you make the statement, "the stem needs to be a snug fit on e-nano" then support my statement by stating this...

Your sometimes passive aggressive demeanor is truly perplexing to me occasionally. :hmm:

It's all good though, keep rockin that Nano!

Andy just repaired my cracked e-nano that I bought used with a four day turn around (I payed for shipping), which I believe is amazing customer service. I live in the Rocky Mountain region which is quite dry. Should I use a bees wax/food grade mineral oil blend like this http://www.amazon.com/John-Boos-Oun...r_1_2?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1430584674&sr=1-2 to keep the wood conditioned? I don't want to have it happen again.

Here's Andy's opinion
The E-Nano is sealed with shellac then polished with a Carnauba wax. I rarely wax mine. If you spend enough time with your E-Nano she'll let you know when she's ready for a waxing. Because shellac reacts to alcohol and citrus, you should avoid using any polish that contains either.
Most other 'Log' vapes are sealed with just a wax or wax blend and thus need more frequent waxing.

I like to use beeswax, once a month maybe, can't hurt and really darkens and enriches the grain of the wood on my walnut.

This doesn't matter whatsoever. Heat will cause any wood to dry out. Run your nano 24/7 and it'll dry out the wood way more than your home's moisture content ever could!

Any wood turner will tell you wood can crack randomly. There's no way to predict if a piece that survives the turning process will crack 1 month later. The thing is that if wood will crack, it will happen typically within the first few months after it has been turned on the lathe. If your replacement Nano doesn't crack soon, it will never crack no matter where you live.

Beeswax is good to condition the wood, but it won't prevent cracking.

So I just got my enano, and the light doesn't come on until 7 on the dial, and it doesn't give clouds until 8.5+ on the dial. Is that normal?

If you do this in a dark place, you will see that the light increases in intensity as you dial it up.
If you are not getting much visible vapor until 8.5, have you checked your distance between load & heater core? do you have too thick of a layer of herb? Does the dial start at 1, or is it off by a number or two?

Let us know,. :)

The indicator should light start glowing as soon as the nano gets turned on. It will be dimmer at lower numbers and brighter at high numbers.

Try turning on your nano in the dark. It makes it easier to see the faint glow of the indicator light at lower numbers. You should definitely be able to see it glow a little at like 2 or 3.

Clouds at 8.5 seems really high.

I can get clouds at 6.5-7 as most others do as well.

How far is your herb from the heater? The closer the herb the lower the temp. So if your herb is 1-2mm away from the heater then 6.5-7 should produce clouds. However if the heater is 5+mm away from the herb, you may not get as big of clouds.

EDIT: just got ninjad by grandma dabs! damn she is quick :ninja: and knows what she is talking about

Grandma dabs? What are those???

I realized even though I alluded to my nano dab setup in another post I thought I should explain in here for fellow log Dabbers IMO.

IMO there are a lot of suboptimal ways to dab people talking about when dabbing with logs. This is obviously not what you would do in a pinch but if you are dedicated to log dabbing like I was for a while then it would be good.

My setup could be definitely improved with a custom 18mm female gong since I have an extra adapter turning the 18 male gong into a female joint so it will fit on the nectar collector. Then you can just put in a basket screen and melt your dabs away. Lots of
Stuff with minimal/no flavor harm will collect in the detachable jar on bottom and you can scrape a lot out. I also leave this setup together for vaping because all the curves and airflow
Prevent flower material from falling in the jar.

I like the honeycomb glass gongs with a titanium SSV VIP screen actually. They are $1 from SSV and don't stay in place if you flip the gong upside down but is good to dab on.

You know what they say about women who learn to type early and dab often...

Well I don't, but when I get old I'm gonna insist everyone calls me grandma dabs. I'll make sure they all pay respect to the og though.
Homage to the OG G'ma Dabs!!!

Sooo many suggestions.

1) As @Enchantre mentioned - the neon light is dim. You really can't see it in bright light until higher temperatures.

Clouds at 8.5+ sounds like you haven't given your Nano enough time to preheat!! It's a log vaporizer, not a standard desktop vape. You need to give it 10-15 minutes to fully warm up for proper performance. (you *can* start using the vape within 2 minutes of a cold start using the higher numbers on the dial, but most of us prefer to leave our vapes running so they are preheated).

When the vape is ready, the wood will be warm (like a handwarmer).

Here's a FLIR shot I took of my ENano
