Thanks for the responses, that is what I thought. I gotta go now and place my order.

Done. Ordered Koa Enano, adjustable gong, and adjustable stem!!

They weren't showing any screens on the website, what size / type do I need?

Thanks

Shit!! Looks like they disappeared on the new updated website. I'd write a note asking if you could get 5 for $5 and add to your order. Not that you can't make due with one, but why not get them included in the same shipping?

Looks like there are a few other things missing from new site, too. Probably still working it out.

I got everything in the mail today and kinda bummed out. My $25 honeycomb glass screen stem was busted in shipping. Looks like someone didn't pull the sleeve up correctly to protect it and it snapped at the point the screen is blown. I sent an email. At least I have the normal ones to use for now.

That sucks!!! Epic will probably get a new one out to you. You do have adjustables, right?

I can't access the site at all right now.

Site has been up and down all day. Looks like pretty major updates.

Thank you for the order. The screens are now on the website. I'll throw some in your package.

Note to the Nano-Nation: The website was redone from scratch on a new platform and to a new server. Fingers crossed! If you have trouble accessing the site try clearing the 'cache' in your browser. Please PM me if you see any bugs other than missing products which will continue to be added in the next few days.

Nadia: Thank you! Now get some sleep!

As @Enchantre said the other day, LESS IS MORE! Very true with many aspects of the nano. One caveat.... if you are quick with going through the load and reloading, take a break after two or three loads and let things settle in. I've got on a roll more than a few times and by the time I'm on that 4th or 5th load, the first is just settling in. Not much to do then but sit back and grin!!

Thanks flotntoke! Your post was the last one I read last night before going home for my first Nano session and it really helped me.

Did I doubt all the testimonials about how efficient the Nano is?

I'm afraid I did. HA!

I'm a "lightweight" anyway, but after letting the unit heat up and then dialing it down, adjusting my screen and using a "tiny" bit of coarse ground stuff packed down a bit with the E-Pik I gave the Nano a test-drive. Even with that tiny bit I think I got 4 big draws? It's sort of hard to say because I didn't want to exhale.

I wasn't feeling much at first so I put an even "tinier" bit of material in there and took one draw, but then I thought "Hold your horses Partner!"

Remembering what flotntoke had said I decided to take a break and finish up my household chores for the night. I soon realized that I was heavily medicated, but felt sort of "light" and "airy" instead of "heavy" and "weighed down."

So when I got back to my living room I turned the unit off and let everything cool down so I could put the stem (with some product still in it I will enjoy tonight) back in the plastic sleeve it came in. This might not be the best practice but it's better than breaking the glass stem by accident and it fits pretty snugly/securely in there without any product spillage.

So having gone through a cigarette to e-cig transition about 5 years ago I'm thinking that what's similar is that the "heavy", "weighed down" feeling that you might feel is "missing" when you vaporize is something you actually don't want anyway.

Even as I was doing the dishes about to make my nightly meal last night the idea of using my trusty "one-hitter" bat seemed gross. I've been doing nothing but combustion for quite awhile so if I already feel this way after one night I can only imagine that the transition will only get smoother.

So thanks to Andy, Nadia and everyone on this thread for helping me narrow down my choices and make my final decision. I'm a happy customer!

I do have 2 questions though:

1) My rotary dial stops at 9 instead of 10. I already knew it didn't actually go to 11 from watching some videos, etc. but it should go to 10 correct?

I'm thinking a temp of 6 on my unit would be the equivalent of 7 on others? It really doesn't matter that much because everyone will find their own unique range and if 5 (approx) works for me like 6 works for others then so be it, but in case this exact thing has happened to another user does the dial come off so I can correct this or is the dial glued on there?

2) I don't have any wooden sewing needles around the house. What other common household items can be used in case you have to push the screen higher up (coming the long way from the bottom of the stem?)

Thanks again,

Norman

My dial does almost 9.5, I think. Yes, it will pop off for re-adjustment.

I use a chop stick to adjust screens. A dowel would work, as would a long screwdriver. Chop sticks are easily acquired... just order some takeout ;)

Best part about vaping with the ENano, is how good the ABV is for further use.

norman (love the name Norman Clature). Welcome.
Ok first 1 where does your dial read when turned off?
2. Bamboo skewers like for shishkabob. Cut off wire hanger. Long skinny (clean) screwdriver or other tool.

 @Enchantre types a lot faster than me. Lol and @DieHard man I'm slow..
My dial is exactly the same max 9.5 low sits on one. You can pop off using epic but why find your sweet spot.
Fuck Combustion bro!!!
Skewers/Chopsticks
I slide the sleeve where I like my screen as a reminder since my couch ate my E-pic.
Another tip I like slide toothpick under sleave so won't roll off table.
You can also put a rubber band around dial you prevent unexpected changes in temp.

Glad my post helped! Couple things worth noting (for you and others who may not be as likely to write here).

Don't sweat where the dial stops, or how your nano hits at my fav 6.25, or where anyone else's does. There are differences in dials, and your draw speed, material and many other things. Play with it a little and use it where you like it. As @Enchantre said, you can pop the dial off and set it up wherever you like. Just turn it off, pry the dial evenly from two opposite sides, set back in place with 0 (or whatever you like) at the mark and you're good to go. Also, chopsticks (free with take out) or bamboo skewers (bag of 100 for $1 at almost any dollar store) make great tools for screen pushing and other stuff. Lately, I make my own little nano tools by cutting a chopstick to about 4 inches and sanding a sort of screwdriver tip on one end. Good for pushing (with GonG) and use the tip for stirring. Not needed, but sometimes the dremel is a fun toy. A pencil works well, too. DOH!! Everybody beat me to this one - even @Melting Pot ! Oh well..... I hate to delete what I type, so more of the same.

If you truly want to fuck combustion, get used to feeling a bit off with your buzz for a week or two and DON'T SMOKE ANY! Sort of the same as getting off the cigs with the e-cig. You're right in your assumption. One of the things you're missing with vaporizing is the toxins that cut off oxygen to your brain that give you more of a dopey buzz. But, this is all up to you. I still combust from time to time and enjoy the vapor buzz better so no big for me. But, it is a different kind of feeling - much dependent on what you have to vape, vape temp and other things.

Really glad to hear you're enjoying her right out of the box. It is an amazing vape!!! Don't be afraid to go wild with it, as long as you don't have anything to do for a few hours or so. YOu may be surprised how high you can take the temp before roasting your load too much. Flavor will diminish but buzz will be heavier. Or, go the other direction for unbelievable flavor and a nice light, heady buzz. No need to rush.... I'd suggest you get used to what feels good for you then try some tweaking. Dial setting, screen height, size of load, grind and probably a few other things I'm forgetting in my current state can all be tweaked for different effects. Not that any of this is necessary, but fun and even more fun to figure out how things can affect your flavor and buzz. I have my regular daily sesh (small loads at 6.25), my tasting or have shit to do sesh (same size but about 5.5 - 5.75 on dry stem - less hits for shit to do), my can't sleep sesh (larger load at about 7) and others. Do what you like, how you like and always a good idea to check here for ideas.

Thanks for the tips! I took the rubber sleeve (insulator?) off because I thought it was strictly to prevent damage when shipping. It's still sitting on my table so I can do your trick.

I was just worried about having that rubber?/silicone? sleeve so close to the heater but I might try it.

Yes you're really gonna want to put that back on. IMO
I hold my finger or thumb on there to hold stem on without burning finger.

Hi temp tubing you're good.
You'll burn your finger once or twice be like were is that sleeve. Lol

Definitely a great tip!!! Heat won't hurt it. Are you using a stem or GonG? If GonG, you can roll the silicone down on itself a bit and create a nice lip to pull the GonG and nano from the bubbler easily using a finger or two - and I find a one handed pull nice. Kidding aside, it allows you to hold your bubbler in the other hand if you don't want to be leaning over a table.

Thanks for all the tips folks! I have a 3-day weekend starting in 30 minutes so I'll be able to do a bit more experimenting with the Nano.

HA! If it's me you are asking I'm strictly basic stem and heat (dry/no water) right now but I will put the sleeve/insulator back on tonight. Thanks for all your help.

Just pulled the trigger on a custom cherry nano, it was the last custom one left. I wanted one with the unique grain feature. I didn't want to wait to have one made. Maybe one of theses days I 'll get one with specialty wood blanks from @Snappo.

I wanted something new in honor of 4/20. Anxious to get it, now is the waiting game. I ordered last night so I should get it in plenty of time for 4/20. I ordered 2 extra stems, 2 GonGs and extra screens.

I've been reading up on this little unit that seems to have its owners swearing they have the best vaporizer. So with a lot of advise I thought this may work for my needs for home, some of the time anyway. I will probably need some help a long the way. I'm glad I have my FC friends with a lot of wisdom to pass to the less experienced nanion.
