The Vape of Things to Come
Left my original Volcano in the UK four years ago. Bought another one in my new host country a few weeks ago, and so I'm still like a kid at Christmas here ...oh and getting a Crafty at the same time was also possibly a bit of a recipe for overkill. :p

Overdid it yesterday. Vaped all day and functioned just fine ...till about 7pm when all I could manage to do was crawl into bed and stroke the dog till we fell asleep (she wasn't stoned - she's just a big old sleepy husky).

Maybe in a few days/weeks I'll have settled down to a more sensible/moderate routine...

Im a third shifter.
I wake up, dab. Eat, prepare for work, dab. Pen rips on the ride. Pen rips at work (gotta love running a thread roller all by yourself with no boss!) Pen rips on the ride home. Dab at home. Sleep repeat. Yeah i guess i stay medicated most of the day. My tolerance is fucked always has been though, with everything.

During the week, I'll Vape as soon as I'm back from work. So from about 530pm till 12, I might Vape about 3-4 sessions. On the weekends, it all depends what I'm doing, but usually 4-5 sessions.

I daydream a lot naturally, my head is always in the clouds. Vaping just sends me into my mind even more. To the poster that wrote this plant just enhances your own traits , i think they're on point there.

One of my favourite times to Vape is on a longer road trip. This has been greatly enhanced since I got the crafty. Prior to that I would combust on road trips.

Steve Martin on moderation:

I used to smoke marijuana. But I’ll tell you something: I would only smoke it in the late evening. Oh, occasionally the early evening, but usually the late evening – or the mid-evening. Just the early evening, midevening and late evening. Occasionally, early afternoon, early midafternoon, or perhaps the late-midafternoon. Oh, sometimes the early-mid-late-early morning. . . . But never at dusk.”

I can still hear him saying that like it was yesterday, that's one of my favorite routines.

Arizer Air Aficionado
First up thankfully and luckily I am a recreational user.

For 4/5 years I would combust daily, after collage, then after university, then after work. So I was always more of a mid afternoon - evening smoker. I would smoke very small joints so would probably only get though half a gram a day. Maybe closer to a gram at the weekends.

Then I took the plunge and bought an Arizer Air, my first vape :) When I got it I also decided to take a T break. Somehow the willpower (which I had not found before) came out of me and after having a weekend using my vape, I didn't vape till the Friday after work of the following week.

I decided to try the same thing the week after, only vapeing Friday after work, Saturday and Sunday. I have found that I much prefer this and have kept this routine for nearly 2 months now. I'm sure some of this "will power" has come from the fact I am now 2 months tobacco free.

This is something I am very happy about as for me personally I have not really been happy with myself getting high every single day. I feel it is a bit unnecessary. The saying goes too much of a good thing is bad. And for me this is true.

I look forward to those Friday's and the effects I get are amazing compared to the blur affects I used to get.

Due to this my tolerance is very very low now which is a good thing for me. At the weekend sometimes I take just a few puffs on my vape and put it down till later. However I have always been the stoner that prefers to get slightly lifted rather than face meltingly stoned.

I have to get up at 7:30 weekdays and find it much easier to get up, and feel more alert in the mornings. I always found that after getting high I would loose some motivation. So I always used in such a way as a reward. I get my shit done I need to do then get high for what's left of the day. I now get more done on the weekdays as I don't get in and get high ASAP after work.

In terms of working out high I am a very regular long distance runner (part of the reason combustion had to go) I have tried short runs high, and never enjoyed it. As someone mentioned above, at the weekends often I get high after my exercise as a reward.

Many years ago when I gave up the gretts and was still a combuster I would crave a joint at about the same trigger point as when I would have had a cig. So I stopped the cigs but increased my joint smoking. You my friend have smarts and willpower. Good for you Blue!

When I was in university I used to get plastered with my friends from Friday to Sunday with blunts, bong rips, alcohol and partying. Now I'm working a lot and normally use 6 times a week. Some days I start around noon but prefer to wait until the evening when work is finished, otherwise I get too tired after the initial hit. Night time use is best imo.

I go up and down in my use. I am an everyday user but can go from being an all day user to just in the evenings. The more stress I have, the more I tend to use. I don't like my tolerance to be too high so I generally will cut back. If I feel like something is out of whack like I'm eating too much or I feel like I'm not being active enough, I just cut back.

Since I switched to vaping in November '14, after 2 decades of smoking out of pipes mostly and smoking cigarettes, I am glad to be rid of the after smell of pot smoking which was worse than the lingering smell of cigarette smoke on my clothes, skin, and hair. But when I was smoking. it was once in the morning before work then 2 more times after work or so

I've been using more during the day since now I can vape at work without anyone being the wiser :ninja: I think now that I've also given up cigarettes 6 weeks ago, I've been vaping A LOT more, about every hour on the hour . So yeah heavy user and using a 1/3 of what I use to smoke a week which is just making me smoke more because I have more.

It's a vicious cycle.

I'm becoming a much heavier user lately - though, not when I get on the scale, I am still losing weight quick nicely - but with the hot flash sessions, and the suspicion of a possible tumor, I'm also ingesting way more THC, to beat those episodes back, and heal.

I've got granola bars that have 200 mg of cannabis - concentrate, probably a S/i hybrid, no idea of the lab results - and, I'm eating a 1/4 at a time. So far, I have 2 chunks a day, plus my usual vaping/dabbing, and I'm also putting fresh leaves into smoothies.

We stomped the bronchitis out, btw.
Oh no, this is the first I've heard of the tumour suspicion! I hope you are successful in beating this back!!! Sending all the best to you and yours!

I am a daily, all day every day user and have been for many, many years. I would say now that I have been a daily cannabis user for a third of my life or so, and almost all of my adult life.

As I have discovered concentrates, gotten my hands on new and various strains and managed to get my hands on CBD material, this usage has changed drastically.

Originally I combusted an ounce or so a week of bud only. Very occasionally, I would get my hands on some traditional pressed hash which was pretty good quality (but obviously not melty stuff!).

I then went to vaping considerably less buds for a while, til I learned about reclaiming and AVB. This was the start of attempting to make oils, and boy oh boy did I make a bunch of terrible shit (still, probably in line with some of the stuff that dispensaries sell as some 'FIAH BUDDER BRO!1111' but I digress). Still, the additional potency of this stuff greatly raised my tolerance but greatly dropped my usage of starting material at the same time.

Nowadays, I am an almost exclusive oil user, with bubble hash frequently in the mix.

I vape flowers from time to time, but probably no more than a couple grams a week.

Then I might also do perhaps a gram and a half of various dewaxed absolutes (some with THCA in them, some with <.02% THC/THCA, predominately the latter during the day). The difference is night and day, I am not just functional now, I'm prolific!

Whereas before, combusting cannabis had very debilitating side effects for my day-to-day functioning, as well as less beneficial effects on my symptoms.

I really think that extracts are the future, and that designer extracts are moreso the future of MMJ. As a more sophisticated understanding of the chemicals in cannabis is developed both in scholarly circles and broader society - I think we can expect to see people stop talking about cannabis/weed/mj and start talking about specific terpenes/cannabinoids, or combinations of these. Bring it on I say!

I'm sure the humble flower will always remain for nostalgia purposes, but our ancestors were only looking at the tip of the iceberg when they discovered that burning this stuff and inhaling the smoke was a hoot! ;)

@herbivore21 all is good.. or will be, soon enough.
Lab work ruled out the tumor... the hormone markers are all improving, some quite markedly, which is good news, though I still have symptoms. They will go away.
I have been doing RSO from a grower, along with all the edibles, vapables, and dabables that I can. :)
I'm still losing weight quite nicely, and my BP is stablizing (the other piece of my puzzle...), so things are looking better.

Been smoking for 10 years (cigarettes/bong), and i can say at least 6 years of every day use.
20-25 grams in a month

started vaping some months ago, it's already decreased to 10-15g a month (even less i notice)
and i enjoy more flavor, better hits and a way better effect. So my vapes earn themselves back in my eyes

Health has improved also, although in the beginning i really had to much effect and also i breathed in too deep which made my lungs hurt (true story .. :p).
I don't smoke all day as it just ruins the day (lazy, making mistakes by not noticing details,..) and i don't drive a car when high as it doesn't feel comfortable.
