First the flavor, then the buZzz settles in....
Probably shouldn't have even used the word "debate". "Discussion" is definitely better! But, hope all knew what I mean. More power to you @Chezgreendream ! I could never seem to get into much of a routine with this. I don't even do the one additional breath too often. Sometimes if I think of it, but usually if in a hurry or if I'm trying to avoid moving stuff from the "storage" jar to the in-use jar for a day. For me, it does seem to require a bit less time and material to get to where I'm looking to be. Not sure if easy to compare if this is your regular routine, but do you find the same (more efficient and quicker)?

Wasn't trying to discount your method at all!! Know some still love taking a huge hit and holding forever. I still do this on occasion, too. Just adding suggestions, and more than anything saying that anyone can benefit from trying different things to find what they like best or what works best for them. Was honestly pretty vaked and a bit drunk when I hit FC last night. :ko:

My main points are: do what you like, how you like, and enjoy whatever works for you! Don't think that what anyone else says is THE best way to do any of this is THE best way for you or anyone else. Play with your nano! Try some of the stuff you read here and see what you can find yourself. Small tweaks can create noticeable differences you may like even better. And, think everyone will get better results for a while after you first start using it. I don't really know if practice makes "perfect". It may for some, but even after much trial hasn't made it the case for me on every hit. All that practice is fun though, and has made me a good bit more skillful with it. OR, if you just fumbled into a routine or follow what someone else has suggested and it works the way you like, just roll with it. You don't really have to try any of this or anything else if your satisfied where you are, but nano has a good bit of versatility that anyone can probably use to their advantage. I guess many vapes do, but IME nano really excels here.

I dont find it any more efficient or quicker, I mean I do use a water tool, so it stacks vapor. With two draws on 7.5.And...I'm Aced.

I do it for the visual effects and I find it more calming and relaxing. someone here had posted that holding the breath by itself creates a slight buzz, or something along those lines, so that mixed in with Vapor and extra oxygen hits, I find absorption is better. Again this is just me thinking.

Out to lunch
I do still think my volcano has the ability to get me higher
That's because the 'cano can deliver more vapor in the same amount of time. It's the same with alcohol. You'll get more inebriated by tossing down 3 shots of hard liquor, one after the other, than by drinking 3 beers with the same amount of alcohol (unless you literally pour the beer down your throat). 'Normal' beer ingestion delivers the alcohol over a longer period of time.
One thing I would say to potential new nano purchasers is I Dont use my glass stems anymore.
And I would say that's all I use now. Haven't used it with the gong and water filtration in a long time, but that's because I have an EVO handy. The nice thing about the e-nano is that it can work well for both small hits and large, and if you want to use it for both, DO get a gong adapter and have a glass piece available.

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
Volcano's bowl is a lot bigger than enano's one that means obviously more actives on one side if you compare them by a single bowl. Even if volcano is starting to ageing is still a good device (as I heard, I haven't used it) doing what supposed to: deliver vapor with few or nearly no contamination or waste.

I think if you vape the same amount at the same temp you'll extract more or less the same vapor, maybe volcano has a little more waste on bag's wall because of condensation.

I go where the thrills are
Now with my whole situation fixed by Nadia I can finally kick back and really enjoy the nano for what it is. I do still think my volcano has the ability to get me higher...

Honestly, I don't wanna meet the vape that would get me higher than the Nano. Not without a really good medical team standing by. (As has been mentioned, crank the temps and move the screen closer.)

The nice thing about the e-nano is that it can work well for both small hits and large....

This is perhaps my favorite thing about the Nano...its impressive range. I don't use water tools at all, and I find I can get pretty much any sized hits I want, thanks to the temp range and the ability to move the screen.

The more I live with it, the more I realize what a truly badass vape the Nano is.

The volcano is great but I find I get a great long lasting high with the enano. No complaints switching to enano. Oh and I save a ton of weed

I use enano with water only. For dry I prefer Arizer air. It's a great replacement over cloud+, no complaints with the switch and still more efficient

Crazy night, I awoke to this scene. My haunted nano cannibalised
my freaking Firefly. Crap I'm afraid to go to bed tonight .

Hey guys,

In looking at getting either the epic vape or the underdog and was wondering if you guys could compare them or give pros and con's to help me decide. I just sold my cloud evo because I rarely use flowers but I would feel weird without a vape in my home.

Let me know!

I didn't even know you could! No I have an enail that's why i never really use flowers but for when I do, I would like to have a solid vape.

@grdwaste use the search button. These vapes are compared frequently on this forum. The biggest pro I would say that the nano has is the faster heat up time.

EDIT: It excels with flowers and works well with oils

Will do. Thanks

I chose the nano because of the built-in temperature adjustment. I know there are tons of people who say they don't need one with their UD's, or they buy a VVPS to control the temp. I didn't really like the idea of buying something and immediatly having to buy something else to make it work porperly. UD owners will probably say I don't know what I'm talking about, people love them. I also read some posts in the UD forum from people who say the temperature can vary depending on what outlet you plug it into. I never used a UD so I have no first hand experience but after a lot or research I chose the E-nano, it's only my second vape and I can't imagine I'll buy another one for a very long time.

Edit: I should also add, I was told the enano's temp adjustment controls the wattage. A VVPS for the UD will vary the voltage. Apparently you can get more precise temp control with a VVPS.

VVPS=Variable Voltage Power Supply

I think the E-Nano is more elegant.

As @vaplen said, there are many comparisons in this thread and a few specific UD vs nano threads (now closed but can be found) that give endless comparisons. It can be hard to search, because most use UD instead of "underdog", but probably a good idea to check out the whole page and those immediately before and after when you do find something in this thread. I've never tried it, but may be easier to search "nano" on the UD thread. Just keep in mind you'll likely hear the UD is better there and the nano is better in this thread.

I've only used a UD a couple times, and I wasn't the pilot - so hard for me to give a solid reliable comparison. A couple things that are solidly objective, though. The UD uses a D/C powered heater core. It comes with a wall wort (a box at the plug like so many other electric devices have) and no way to adjust power. Many add a VVPS (variable voltage power supply) to adjust the voltage and change heat temp. Many love this and VVPS's can be had for cheap ($30 - 40), or custom made ones are more expensive. Really not a bad way to go, because UD's can be had for bit cheaper with just the wall wort. There are also varied stems for it. For a while, the only way to use it was to lodge a screen into a piece of silicone that also linked the stem to the heater core. This was one of the reasons I opted for a nano, when I got mine a couple years ago. But, from what I've read there are now glass stems that don't require the silicone. I'm sure someone else here will comment on this. Know there are more than a few that own both.

The nano uses A/C straight through with a dimmer type dial built right into the cord. No need to purchase anything else, and not sure a VVPS will be more sensitive to adjustments. I guess it could be, but not sure how noticeable that would be in use. The nano is very responsive to the smallest adjustments on the dial. nano also continues to use glass and glass with a screen as it has from the beginning. The silicone you see on the glass is only there as a heat shield so you don't burn your fingers on hot glass. IMO the A/C power, compared with the total simplicity of its design are what make it such a powerful and versatile vape at the same time. Think this is also the reason for reports of faster heat up time. Adjust-a-bowl screens are also a serious game changer for many - certainly for me (but, wouldn't be surprised if UD has something similar now).

Hope all this helps. I have thought about getting a UD since before I even heard of the e-nano, but still don't have one. And, will definitely be purchasing another nano before a UD purchase will be a serious consideration. Whether it merits consideration in your decision or not, it seems the nano has surpassed the UD in popularity (at least here on FC) even though it hasn't been around nearly as long. I'd advise you spend a little time researching each and deciding for yourself, but if you haven't figured it out already - I'm probably always going to suggest the nano over the UD. Mostly because I know it well, and love it a lot! It blew me away when I first got it, and has continued to surprise me after a couple years of use.

ON A TOTALLY UNRELATED NOTE (or maybe not), my accessory order came today as scheduled. Haven't tried everything yet, but all looks good and the latest 18mm GonGs look really nice. They have about the same length as my others, so that short tube issue seems to be gone. All also fit well with just a test fit on nano and in bubbler. How long have have they been coming in these cool little plastic tubes? Very cool! I picked up a diffusion cup for a friend, too. Didn't try it (because it is a gift) but looks like it will be perfect.

I placed my order Tuesday night, and was to me today clear across the country. I did pay a couple more bucks for priority shipping, but do for mostly everything. Some because of impatience, but more because USPS makes sure they do what they are supposed to in moving my stuff along when it has "Priority" on the label. Almost always worth it if offered IMO. Andy & Nadia also threw in a nice gift and a note on my invoice. Don't know how others feel about such things, but I really enjoy and appreciate the little things like that and don't see them much anymore.

Arrgh sorry to hear about that, sure you will get a new one, but a bummer.
Maybe get a new one sent, if the cracked stil functions.
Then you won't be without.
Glad to hear about new GonG. I have one en route.

not sure a VVPS will be more sensitive to adjustments.

You know what I'm going to say, don't you?

I've said it before, but have no problem saying it again (:D), an UD or HI with a good VVPS like a Voltage Keeper will, IMO, allow much finer and accurate control than the Nano's dial, especially a 15 volt 10 turn VK. You can adjust 0.01 volts with the greatest of ease with that option.

IME, a difference of only 0.10 volts means the difference between not worrying whatsoever about scorching or over-browning whatsoever, to seeing material darker than I'd like or want.

The input voltage of my favorite outlet can range from 11.90 to about 12.25 - to me, that's a HUGE difference.

If you're particularly particular, and sensitive, about your temps, then I think a VVPS is the way to go. I'm the sort of guy who wants to look at my HI and know that it's either at 10.65 volts, 11.00 volts, or 11.35. I don't want it to be anywhere else, ever, give or take 0.03 volts or so.

If you're more of a "eh, I'll just move the dial if I'm not getting the right effects" sort of person, then the Nano is just fine as far as temp control goes.

IMO. IME.

:)

Can someone tell me where to find the stiff screens used for the basket screens?
And does anyone know the optimal diameter for the screens?

Amazon sales Stainless Steel Woven mesh sheets. I would love to find some thinner mesh like the EQ uses, it seams to get clogged less and allow less debris through.

I believe the nano uses 10mm-10.5mm to shape the basket size. Not sure what size to start with, I've been cutting squares and then trimming the excess after making a basket.

I think UD used to sale a basket making kit, can't find it anymore.

I should another video with better vapor production visible...

Oh, frick.. basket screens. I'm pretty sure I got them from UD... cuz I'd gotten the UD plastic tubing creation kit when I'd gotten the Hammer, and it came with the dowel for making baskets.... that's the right size.

Yes please make another video. I saw your nano review video on Youtube & it was very informative & helpful.

I was just wondering, is there a reason why the walnut finish is more popular than the others? The maple seems to be the least favorite.
