Let me begin this comment by saying that although I appreciate good flavor, I am not a flavor chaser. For me, this stuff is medicine and the number one reason that I vaporize is because I rely on the effect to function normally.

That said, one thing I've really enjoyed doing with the Crafty is taking the cooling unit off and smelling the aroma while the chamber is warming. Really nice. Very much like smelling a glass of wine before tasting it to prepare your tastebuds. Seriously. Try it and you won't regret it.

Take my money
Today I used my scale and made two batch of 0.1g of chocolope to do some testing.
I vape one batch without the oil pad and got 4 good puff at 170°c and an other 4 at 190°c.
I just vape the second batch with the oil pad and got 7 puff at 170°c and an other 6 at 190°c!!!
But I don't feel more medicated with the oil pad, even if i get more puff??!!

I'm guessing you get more puffs with the oil pad because some of the medicine gets collected. Which might also explain why the medicinal effect is the same. In totality you're extracting the same amount in 2 different ways.

Sneak peak at my new crafty mouthpiece Waterpipe adapter:

Still tweaking the design and the molds. But I'm getting really close!

(Yes I know some of you want an adapter to bypass the Cooling Unit, but I can't do that just yet. Maybe next year if someone has a spare cooling unit to send me for measurements!)

*Note, this should also work for the Mighty since they use the same mouthpiece

Come on guys!

I would love to see a video of someone packing the herb chamber as full as they can and having the temp up to almost the maximum and get as big of clouds as they possibly can! That would be a nice Christmas teaser!

I'm using the mighty but here you go.

Any chance you can provide a link for the glass adapter that goes from the chamber to your beautiful glass attachment? I'd like something your attachement but something much much smaller I could use on the go. Id be stoked with a glass stem over the plastic. Any ideas would be very appreciated!

I do the same thing while its warming only I just put the mouthpiece near my nostrils and slowly inhale. As you said, it's very nice. It reminds me of warm spicy bread. Very much like doing it.

Bleh, didn't mean to double post. Maybe a nice mod can help me out. I tried to delete this and add it to my first post but I couldn't figure it.

mod note: Done. Thanks for notcing.

====================

Ok so I have my first problem with the Crafty. It's not huge but I thought I'd let you all know so you can monitor your situation to. My charge cord no longer wants to "click" into place.

It plugs in and will charge the unit just fine, but it does not give you that pleasing little click anymore to let you know your good and the cord isn't going to just fall right back out. Which it WILL now do if you don't have it plugged in right. Gravity will cause the end to just fall out of the female part of the charge setup.

I haven't decided whether I want to send this back in yet for repair. I should. 100%, but I honestly hate thinking about the time I will be without it. lol.

Oddly, in a earlier post I mentioned that the one part on the crafty that concerned me was the plug in setup, that it felt a bit "Janky". I will be interested to see if anyone else develops this problem, as I really baby all my devices.

Oh, forgot to mention something fairly important. I'm honestly not sure which broke. The female receptor, or the cord. ( that would be nice if it was just the cord I guess. ) Either way, keep a eye on it folks.

It's the cord. Mine did the same, using a different one gives the satisfying click.

The mechanical tensioner in mini USB is in the jack instead of the plug. Micro USB plugs wear out instead of the jack whereas mini USB Jacks will wear out before the plug.

i hope not. otherwise my friend is the only one that will be able to use the app with my crafty... maybe you just need to click on the "connect with another crafty button", since this will also cut the current connection between the crafty and the app

No. I've used it with a nexus 5, a friends galaxy S4, A nexus 6, and my moto x and nexus 7 tablet LOL. The only variable I can't test is iphone essentially.

I managed to bug the girlfriend into giving me my present earlier. I thought I was getting the crafty for sure until she handed me a sealed envelope which was a huge disappointment..

Little did I know it was the invoice to my crafty. I won't receive it until Friday because they were having issues with the app and weren't sending any units to the u.s.

So now I'm playing the waiting game.

First, I want to thank all the FC folks who helped guide me in my decision to purchase the crafty. I had been using the MFLB for the past two years as my sole VAPE and needed something more reliable and automatic, MFLB is like a stick shift with an iffy clutch. Lo, the Crafty, it's perfect as all the responses state.
I'd like to add a tip I haven't seen mentioned here that some of you might find useful. I live about a mile from the S&B Oakland HQ, I went there to purchase the Crafty. What I experienced was personalized service, they set up my Crafty as my iPad and iPhone are of the previous BT generation, perfection, absolutely no need to change a thing in the month that I've owned it. Second, they charged me NO SALES TAX! Thirdly, I was told if there's ever an issue with my Crafty to just bring it in and it will be dealt with on the spot. It just doesn't get any better than this, well worth a drive if you live in the greater Bay Area.
One very happy customer.
