It's just another form of electricity.

When I was using my Vapor Warez exclusively, I had it plugged in 12-14 hours a day, using electricity constantly. Now that I am using my Launch Box exclusively, I'm only using enough electricity to charge my batteries, which is substantially less electricity. Even factoring in the cost of the batteries, I'm paying less.

I have ordered two from Vapeworld, using the discount. The first box, I believe , was the older model. The second box, ordered two weeks later for a friend, appears to be the newer model. While they both work, hers seems to work a little better. The light is more visible and the draw is a little easier. Both do the job, however. Know that the hits will be "thin" for the most part. IMO it's part of the stealth of this unit. It's not stealth if no one can see you take the hit but the vapor you exhale comes out in a huge cloud. So don't expect major, visible hits. Go more by how you feel and how the ABV looks afterwards. If it's brown, you've been vaped!

I heard the same thing a couple months ago when I ordered my Launch Box. I was told it's not true, but I still felt better ordering directly from BlissSville, but that was just me.

I am curious about the cool tin box it comes in from Blisssville. Do the other sellers include all the goodies too?

They should, I ordered mine from Vapeworld.

The box includes everything that the manufacturer lists. With the exception of the short stem (seems it is considered a choking hazard, but you can easily cut the long one to make one. Or use it stemless, for a smaller form factor.).

The contents list states both a short, and long. Perhaps they should update the list, since their concern for a possible choking incident.

Vapeworld also included a grinder with their shipment.

Honestly, i made sure to check if i will get the newest revision first, with that being said i dont know if vapeworld houses inventory or does drop shipping via blisssville... but i ordered yesterday from blisssvile and they told me i will be getting the newest unit... and its shipping today. Hopefully i get it by friday or sat cuz im in mi and they are in canada

I have ordered from Blisssville, am also in MI and got my order in two days. I don't think you need to worry.

Unfortunately, I wish this was the case. Those of you who have ever attempted operating a manufacturing outfit will probably know well that the margins are very slim indeed, and that bringing a product to market -- anything at all -- is a daunting and complex task fraught with extreme challenges. Retailers take a significant percentage, distributors take another percentage, labor takes most of what is left (80 steps to make each unit) and then there are materials costs still to pay (the batteries and chargers are NOT cheap!). By the time your done, the technology developer and implementer of this little project makes approximately a dollar -- sometimes less. It is enough for one person to live on, sometimes two (if your frugal). As always, the hope is in the future.

In regards to the batteries, the company is now at a critical juncture which will likely affect all future purchasers of all forms of our products. The question is if it is better to have batteries which are somewhat stronger in the short term, but which must be used within a day or two, or if it it is better to have batteries which are nearly always ready to use, but not quite as strong and somewhat slower to charge? In essence, it is a question of the frequency with which people, on average, use the Box. Do most people use the Box more than once a day, or do most people use it on a more occasional basis -- once or twice a week only when out and about?

I can say that I use the box regularly and would like to know that batteries can hold a charge for a bit myself. The idea of the battery losing it's charge within a day or two doesn't appeal to me personally.

Love the box, my sister loves hers too and it is her main vape. She also thinks the batteries need to hold a charge for more than a day or two for convenience sake.

I converted another user last weekend, he bought my emergency backup box and is tickled pink

I personally use it all day when not at home. It lives in my shirt pocket. For me, the higher powered battery is what I'm looking for, but I can see the need for batteries that last sometimes... the camping trip.. fishing trip, etc.

edit: whatever this new change is, I hope they are still AA rechargeable.. I just ordered a MAHA MH-C9000 Advanced Battery Charger yesterday!

I'm a medical user, so I use my Launch Box all day, everyday. It has become my main vaporizer now. I must say the LB has been more beneficial to me than any other vaporizer I have ever used.

That being the case, I'd rather have longer life batteries.

Hmm, without more specific details, it's hard to make this call. It would largely depend on how fast the depletion really is, and whether its quick enough to become much of an issue. Of course the faster charge rate and better performance could easily balance that out...

I personally am content with things as they are now. I use my LB once during the workday usually, and then the rest of the day is spent with my ssv. I can make 1 of these Sanyo batteries last 2-3 days. Can't really say better performance, or especially faster recharge time, would be worth having to top off the battery every day.

IMO, I think that you guys should continue with the current battery type and maybe have these new batteries offered separately. I just like being able to charge my 2 batteries and be set for a weeks worth of usage, and being able to recharge one at a time means i'm never really in a rush for them to charge. I'd like to have a few of both tho, just so i have different choices for different situations.

I not sure how possible this would be to implement, but maybe you could give people a choice which option they want when they buy their LB?

My unit seems to make a small zap or crackle noise on occasion when my battery is inserted. Also, sometimes my LED light doesn't come on right away and I have to twist the battery a bit to get it to light up and start heating up. I usually hear the noise when I have to twist the battery. Should I email Magic Flight and see whats up with my unit?

In terms of usage, (I have 2 boxes, wife uses the other one..thankyou), we use ours daily with a set of 16 batteries between us (not that all are needed, but I just happen to have a lot of batteries). So usage wise we use our box throughout the day daily.

But as far as the question to optimizing the Box for every day vs whenever, this is a difficult question in the sense that I will project what I think since what I think depends on the power module which I will purchase for sure whenever it becomes available.

So with the power module, with the assumption that it works as planned, I do not see myself using the batteries as often (only when I go out and when I do, usually 2 suffice and thats where lsd batteries will be great). However, with no power adapter it would make more sense for my usage to get batteries that last long (from daily usage) and give more juice.

My final vote is to optimize the Box for use whenever, since I have complete faith in the power module working. This small box has entirely replaced my vapor warez cannon (which I truly loved)

Yes, they will still be NiMH rechargeables. We are attempting to determine whether they should be of the LSD type (longer charged shelf life -- better availability) or of if they should be of the high-drain type (longer in use time -- more hits).

At this point, the totality of our leverage depends on our making a primary choice within the next 24 hours. As I mentioned previously, the life of a manufacturing manager can get exciting! I was going to order some more backup batteries from you guys, but maybe I should wait until you make the change?

I just finished reading this Thread and the only question I have before I order my Launch Box is where I should order it from to get the latest model? Is VapeWorld sufficient or should I order from BlissVille?

Just wanted to chime in again after talking with the other 4 people in my circle that also own the box.
2 of them smokes and vapes and digests so there preference is lsd so that batteries can sit there without the need to recharge them when they have an urge to vape instead of smoking/digesting

another does not use it often (budget is the primary constraint to getting herb) so lsd since the box sits there until he can get some herb

another uses it daily but is also waiting for the power module in hopes to use less batteries...so lsd

(longer in use time -- more hits).

I keep hearing complaints about battery life during use. The last one I saw (maybe not here) was a comment like 'I heard the battery only lasts 2-3 hits and then you have to recharge for 8 hrs.' Those would be some super long hits. :/

magicflight, you seem to be presenting a choice between the regular and slow discharge (Eneloop) type of battery. Since, as stated above, I'm seeing complaints about 'in use' time, and considering that the vast majority of people don't even know about slow discharge bats, I'd vote for the regular, "more hits" type.
