Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

The ultrasonic cleaner is working great for cleaning the VapeXnail. I really abused it last time so cleaning took longer than expected but in 15 minutes it looks brand new . . . :)

I use a small glass jar just a little deeper than my ultrasonic cleaner. Add ISO in the jar and stick the glass in it. Put it in the UC and fill the UC to the level of the ISO in the jar. Run it, flip the glass, run again and it usually comes out pristine. I wouldn't use the ISO directly in the UC however.

I'm having Oregon Glass Blower make me an adapter kit for the EVO. That way I don't have to invert it with the VXNail. He doesn't list an 18mm Female to Whip on his site, but if you email him, he'll make you one. I asked for a little more clearance on the female elbow, and he said it wouldn't be an issue.

$32 + $6 shipping for both the male and female. For those looking for a work around, this might be an option.

In general, we do recommend running your EVO with some sort of surge protector. At the last Cannabis Cup, when our electricity was "dirty" it fried a bunch of our units. We are not saying that this is what is happening with you, but as a precaution, plugging your EVO into a surge protector would be good.

Thanks for the reply, SM55. I will send details of these issues to support. I almost always run the unit through a power strip with a surge protector. But, your comments about "dirty" electricity frying a bunch of units has me worried. Can you please describe the symptoms of these fried units?

Yes, never put flamables in the main tank, always use a "floater" with anything flammable and have lots of ventillation handy. I actually cover this in my Ultrasonic Cleaner Thread. Also, I did this cleaning with a weak mix of Simple Green and water in my main tank, no ISO or anything else necessary.

Almost there...
VapeXNail landed and about to be tested!!

EDIT: Holy Crap Batman!!!!
I left the EVO at 3pm for the first test.
A small ball of BHO slid into the slot after slightly warming in the EVO, maybe three seconds.
Too hot and you will smear it on the outside of the vial.
Dropped the device in and hit it with the HT, vapour city!!!
Slight residue left in the bottom of the vial.

Next test was with some 99% ISO reclaim from the BHO pan!
Waste not, want not!! LOL!
This is a thinner oil but a nice golden yellow colour.
Found a neat tool to get the oil into the slit, SCORE!!!

Dropped the vial in and it immediately started to bubble.
Quickly put on the HT and let rip, whitewalled the tube instantly!
Massive cloud again!

More testing needs to be done at lower temps.
This is a great addition for the EVO!

So is the bamboo supposed to rotate fairly easily? It spun a little bit while taking off my hydratube today. Still working fine, just makes me nervous. Never noticed if it spun or not while using it inverted before.

We use a compression fit to keep the bamboo stable but sometimes if you lock the male joint of the EVO to the female joint of the HydraTube and it requires a little muscle to separate them, you can loosen that fit. A little movement with the bamboo is fine, you just don't want to be rotating it 360 degrees like the exorcist. Most likely, the reason you hadn't experienced this inverted is because when the EVO is in its inverted state, there is less of a chance for the user to put downward pressure on the HydraTube mouthpiece and make the joints lock. When inverted, typically, it is just the weight of the EVO that is cause the joints to connect and (not) lock.

If you leave the VapeXNail in there for another minute or so, you can typically burn off the remaining residue. Lot's of interesting techniques including people taking extremely low temps dabs.

While it may be tempting to put a huge glob in there, we found less is more as it REALLY stretches out your supply by approx 3x based on our initial testers. Slow and steady draw will allow you to keep you VXN cleaner as less essential oil will creep up the walls. Look forward to more feedback.

What is the wait time on restocking hydratubes?

We should have more HydraTubes mid next week :)

I was just looking at Vapexhale's webpage (again) just for fun. Then I realized they have written the best description of all time for describing purity.

"When it comes to health, we are as serious as a Wanderlei Silva stare down. We use an all glass vapor path not because it is so durable or easy to work with, but because of how safe of a material it is. It is inert, non-reactive, and allows the full flavor and terpenes to shine through during vaporization."

@stonemonkey55 , A TRUE MMA fan through and through! My favourite vaporizer now gives one of (if not my #1) favourite fighters of all time a shout out on it's front page.

I feel this picture is now appropriate:

(MMA mode activated) WAR Wanderlei Silva and VapeXhale. I do agree, Wanderlei's aggression perhaps is the best way to represent the EVO's vapour production.

The Gangster from West Linn is going to lay a beating on Wanderlei in a few months....... He wont be able to stop the double leg and he aint getting up once it hits the ground.

Apologies if this has already been covered (did a quick search) - I don't have a HT, can I use the VapeXNail (VXN) with the EVO inverted?

Thanks so much everyone for the info and recommendation on the EVO. Received mine today along with the showercap and OMG. Compared to the Herbalaire, Solo, and MFLB I got more medicated with less for sure!!!!

I never combusted, so lungs are sensitive and on a good draw pwr4 on my solo I would still cough. With the EVO on 3/4 full I had ton more vapor and not even a hint of cough!

Not sure why people keep saying this. Wanderlei is famous for being hard to hold down and he's faced bigger blankets than Chael and guys with better top control. Arona had the exact same threats to Wanderlei and he managed to reverse Arona and stuff some of his takedowns as well. Wanderlei's actually one of the tougher fighters to keep on his back. The guys who have historically exploited him were the ones who could abuse the fact he throws loopy, wild hooks (guys like Cro Cop, Liddell, etc). Even an old school, wrestling and slam heavy Rampage, had a hard time controlling Wanderlei.

But this is wildly off topic so it should end here.

I think we need an MMA thread ;)

Man I was VapeXnailed last night . . . :ko: Actually managed to dab myself out last night without starting my EVO on fire :haw: or making a mess. Less is more. Smaller dab, less heat, gentle draw. I'm hitting at around 2 pm on the dial. You can see the dab liquify in the nail and start to slowly bubble, you don't want to fry it, and the flavor . . .

Great Scott!
Got my vapexnail. First reaction was that it feels flimsy for $25 + shipping. I do love the design though. After using it, I feel the price is justified, but I should have a spare since it is easily breakable. Also have a glass dabber stand to put it on IMO. I happened to have one to use that fits nicely.

Now onto the actual review....WOW. I used a micro micro dab. I got effects of a much larger dab on a nail or pen.

My only question is "is this thing like 3-5x more efficient for other people, or have I been using nails wrong somehow?!"

Really I'd love to discuss efficiency of this, because unless this was a fluke I can see a gram of oil lasting me easily 3x longer with this product. Totally blown away. I just don't get how it can be so much stronger per weight than a quartz nail. Either way very well done on this product vapexhale.
