I have no glass. Have pre- order in. Christmas present. Was showercap, changed to Circ. Was this right move? I like smooth but want bomb of a hit. So confused. Need help. I have read as much as I can and so much is just personal preference. I only have old plastic bong days and my Plenty to compare.

You probably made the right move. By changing to circ you get smoother hit enabling you to take bomb hits at ease while sacrificing a bit of flavor.
Showercap is probably better if you want smaller tastier hits. But IMo this is also possible iwth a circ if you use less water.

100% right, I think exactly the same. That's why I have a Swagger Circ ;)

Happy New Year everyone! I'm very thankful that we were able to launch last year and get back on our feet! We are very much looking forward to a rockstar 2014 and can't wait to show everyone what we have in store the new year. This is always a good time to self reflect and I would love to hear your feedback on your resolutions for this year. Here are mine - What are your New Year's resolution?

We are getting very close to getting the international unit out. We are updating it with the latest firmware and doing some additional testing.

Onto other news...for those that need a refresher on how to use their EVO or just want to prep before getting their EVO, here is our new instructional video

@stonemonkey55 As the MFG, if my EVO doesn't do that when set to 12pm (I get zero vapor until at least 2:30), will the FW upgrade allow the EVO to produce vapor at a wider range? That still has no effect on max temp tho yes? (thinking concentrates)
thanks

^^^ Wondering the same. I am slightly luckier in that I can get vapor at ~1:30. I can dial down to 12:30 or so after it has been running for 15-20 min, but setting to noon or earlier and letting it sit there, even for 20 min, I get blueish, wispy vapor at best.

I also had a mistake this weekend in that I turned the unit on with the dial set to max. I got distracted for 20 minutes or so, walked back to the station, dropped my pre-loaded ELB full of VERY dry, essentially powdered flowers into the EVO and was BLOWN buy how thick the vapor was. Then it hit me tha tI was maxed out. No combustion. So if I got the opportunity to use concentrates (my experience with dark hash was 'meh...' but I thought that was my technique, prep, overall noobness, etc.) I would have to guess I'd be out of luck, right?

I have begun a draft of a PM to SM to get his thoughts, but maybe I should let that marinate a bit to further the discussion here.?.

I LOVE this unit. I LOVE how it feels, how it performs, but I am limited in my options of what gets put through it presently. That will not always be the case, so it is my preference to get it dialed in perfectly before my state opens its eyes.

After reading his description, I feel like mine is performing exactly like @grokit's. I do not want to send it in, but I do not want to rest on it too long either (perhaps I could swing by one day? I'm close enough I think...)

For the record, I too may be on an early firmware - I was not lucky enough to get in on the campaign (found this place just a few days too late) but I did get that EB that was in the classifieds, so there is that...

You should get very light vapor around the noon position. I use mine around 1 ish myself right now. The firmware fix is to fix the way the temp responds to the changes in the knob, not the min/max temperature. You guys have a year on your warranty so if you want to hold onto your unit and play around with it to figure out whether or not you want to send it in, you have that ability to do so.

For the record, the bluish/wispy vapor is my favorite as far as taste goes!

@stonemonkey55 , at noon on the cloud it is thick vapor. So the evo Max temp is lower than the cloud? Or is more like 1-2 pm on evo equals 12 pm on cloud?

I hope my post isn't confusing but the general consensus amongst us, prior to the evo, was 12 pm was the perfect middle ground but now it varies.

It seems that the temperature varies from unit to unit. Some aren't getting vapor at 12, some are getting thick vapor at 12, and some have combusted at 12. So while your EVO's 2 may be equal to your Cloud's 12, someone else's EVO's 11 may be equal to your Cloud's 12. Your unit seems to be running colder than most, from what I've read here.

No, the max temp on the EVO is higher. Some of the EVOs (not all) for whatever reason, the temp dial power range is condensed in a certain area. The min/max is the same but sometimes the majority power band can be from 9-10 or 1-2 (or insert whatever variation you like here) but at the end of the day, the total range is the same, just the distribution is different. This is problematic for some people because it makes the dial very sensitive where you can go from whispy to combustion with very little movement. For those people, we just upgrade the firmware and voila! they are back in business.

@b0 - yes, IGG is 2 years.

^ I think the three of us may be part of the shipment with the last version of beta firmware? Because that's how my evo runs as well. I start it up at max, then it needs to be left near there if I want thick vapor in the first 20 minutes or so but watch out. Because I thought 2pm was my sweet spot as well (between 1:30 and 2:30 for thick milk), but that's where I combusted. The evo is a blast to use when it's dialed in, but I'm looking forward to the firmware revision to hopefully make dialing it in a little easier.

The way that SM describes the firmware revision sounds like it should help us get a wider range of temperatures in the middle of the dial, which should be the right fix. I'm still a little concerned about temperature feedback within the evo, because so far it seems that a green light at 2pm on the dial 30 minutes in compared to 120 minutes in to a session can be functionally different temperatures in actual use. It could just be part of the learning curve (and that's okay with me), but I'm also looking into wemos.

My cloud is back out and the Evo is packed ready to go as soon as I hear back from vapexhale. I have never felt the Evo produced the quality of vapor as my cloud, I leave it at 11, any higher and forget it, burnt bad taste. It's harder to pull, I hope the fix gets it operating correctly, it's supposed to be better the the cloud...The way my evo runs, I don't see how it's possible.

I just got my EVO! It rules. I only had a bowl of herb so i haven't fully tested it with flowers but, i had some great clean medical bho and it was the cleanest best hit i could imagine off of bho i liked it better than an enail hit. I'll report back soon with an in depth review with herbs and bubble hash. But i just have to say that the flavor and the smoothness will retire any use for a nail i have. Has anyone tried CO2 oil or rick simpsons oil (or dama oil) in the EVO?

FOX blocked JoeKickAss' how are we supposed to enlighten our beings around here? Hmmm, I have an idea:spliff:
Lol you caught that! I spent 10 minutes capping a tiny little clip from season 17 episode 18, where they are on a new year's cruise, and FOX blocks it in a milisecond...

Here's the quote:

Homer: Woo-Hoo! It's almost New Year's! Ten... nine... eight-
Marge: Homer, the ship's upside down and hundreds of people are dead.
Homer: Three... two... one... Happy New Year! (he blows a noisemaker) My resolution is to be more fun!

when I saw the blocked message you had written it within a minute. Big Brother is even on the Simpsons.

Any tips on using bubble hash in the evo?
