Federal Government Decides Not to Intervene in Colorado And Washington

I can't believe no one's posted a thread about this story yet. The US Attorney General, Eric Holder, and the Department of Justice have decided they will not interfere with the legalization laws passed in Colorado and Washington. This is HUGE! Other states will now feel more secure about passing legalization (medical and recreational) without interference from the Federal government.

If the Feds have decided not to interfere with the will of the people of individual states for overall legalization, this should also mean no more Federal raids on dispensaries. In theory, this is what we've been waiting for since marijuana was criminalized in 1937. I say in theory because it's difficult to believe that the federal government has given in. If the Federal Government is serious, it means only one thing: WE WON!

It's been posted, right after it happened. I'd say we have a good battle going but I don't feel like we won, yet...

It's still an uphill battle but for the first time it feels like the end is in sight. Up to this point talking about cannabis being legal was a very abstract type of scenario...it didn't feel possible.

Now not only does it feel possible but it actually feels somewhat inevitable.

Since when does what comes out of a politician's mouth actually translate into real life action or inaction in this case? Barry-O was going to respect states rights when campaigning but look how that worked out. I am hopeful, but experience has taught me to never believe politicians, especially at the national level.

I do not think any of us should worry about what the FED's think, the whole organization will probably fail soon. Well.... fail more I mean.
