yeah. the wand is 170 the vrip bowl is 60 and you still need a bong or bubbler to put it in. you can skip the vriptec bowl and find something cheaper (if you can fit a quarter in the top of the bowl it will work) but it isnt that much cheaper and imo the vrip bowls are worth it. thats the glass addiction i want to try a bunch of different bowls, bongs, ashcatchers.....
Does it come with a stand? I would need to buy one of those then. I saw someone had a stand, was it you? That was black and said something on it, Idk. I think I'm going to get a PHX Trinity, it's like a 350$ bong, or a custom one, I don't know yet :D.
Konrad - for 350 I'd get a custom FOR SURE. You can get a nice piece from Sovereignty, SGW, Vertigo, Luke Wilson and many others.

But to answer your question, it doesn't come with a stand.

Maybe it depends if it's better than the PHX I want to get. My friend has the 300$ non beaker one, and it's amazing.

Well for 300 you can get a waffle bubbler or tube and that will blow any phx outta the water... With one perc.... Blazemaster is runnin 50 for bowls right now so you can have a custom blown one piece bowl for less than the vrip bowl. Plus they work better than the vrip slide IMHO. You can get the vrip stand but most people use a mug, cup, dish or some even have a mic stand. I think I'm one of the few with the stand and I personally love it. But whatever you need to do to cut cost. The glass bug had bit most people that have bought the wand so get ready. I'm tryin to think of something else to get on order so I have something to wait for. My blazemaster order should be done pretty soon here and I'm ready. I need to get a bubbler in my life. I always like bubblers when I combusted and I'd like to get a real nice gong one. Fuuuuck!!!

the one on the left in the picture above is a waffle tube, the one to the right is a inverted showerhead, the inline is a special SGW gridded inline with 50+ grids. all of these will blow a PHX out of the water and go very, very nicely with a VHW :D

The inverted shower head looks amazing. That thing looks really tall though. Either that or that waffle is mini which would be awesome as well. I think with a mini waffle tube touchin your lips with bubbles may be possible. I was literaly just thinkng about emailing Preston. My w2s are sitting on my chair waiting for me to do my taxes. I'm not 100% sure on what I even want yet. I love the inverted showerhead because you don't see as many as the waffles and I always like to be a lil different. I'm still thinkin about an a/c with mouth piece. Gives me 3 air volumes and the most options. I'd need an angle adapter for my dome as well then. It may be a large order...

Edit: I really like how he's doin the bases now too. It makes it look like a lathe almost. As much as someone could do anyways. I'm gonna start my taxes...

Konrad, I meant that the way this forum works is that certain threads or for vaporizer specific discussion. We started going down the road of just waterpipe/bubbler discussion so I suggested we move it to the other thread where we are already talking about glass pieces.

Yup I know sorry, which thread is that?

So anyways, I should buy the vhw, it comes with that cover right? Also a stand isn't needed, but I need the upper/lower parts and that's about it right? Do I HAVE TO buy the upper/lower or a normal stem piece will do? I'm such a noobie :p.

You should buy this to start out with for best results, the only thing that beats it is a custome Blazemaster bowl but you gotta contact BM and there is a short wait time for those

http://www.vriptech.com/Merchant2/m...VR&Product_Code=VCBS_18_8mm&Category_Code=VHW

this is a good thread to talk about all your glass questions and to show off your new pieces - http://fuckcombustion.com/viewtopic.php?id=1566&p=17
Cool stuff, so what's a blazemaster bowl?

Also this topic is good too :)

So I have to buy that at least with the vhw, gotcha. And what was that cover it was like 90$ or something? That comes with it too right?

sure does you just need the vhw (wand) and the vcb (bowl or slide) make sure the vcb will fit your bong and you are ready to go. i would say get a stand you can use a cup or a plate to keep it on but you gotta be carefull.

Anybody else have issues about their upper VCB being loose. I'm not getting a good seal, suggestions?

Who's the music? Styles of Beyond? Whoever it is, I used to have that album, back in the day. Killed too many brain cells since then to remember just who it is, but you inspired some nice nostalgia with the music.
And that tube is sick. It's giving my perc-less tube an inferiority complex :p

thanks, but no difference. Am I stuck with an inefficient VCB?
Where can I get an oring? type?

umm, your lower bowl should look like this http://www.vriptech.com/Merchant2/m...R&Product_Code=VCBLB_14_4mm&Category_Code=VHW
notice the red o ring at the top. without that i would expect it to leak. you can get those at http://www.vriptech.com/Merchant2/m..._Code=VR&Product_Code=VCBSPK&Category_Code=RP
it should have come with an o ring if you have one and it still leaks i am sure if you contact vriptech they will take care of you, they always did alright by me and the people who posted on this thread.

I was trying to avoid that route having to go through vriptech, was hoping for the hardware store. The problem is not the oring cause I have two bowls with two upper VCB. Either the lower bowl is too small or the upper is slightly big.

thanks again

if you go to the hardware store for a thicker o ring make sure its made of silicone and not rubber so it can handle the hi temps. i would call vriptech you can check the upper against your other lowers and your lower against the other uppers to see wich part is screwed up.

Hey guys,

I'm in the market for my next vaporizer and I JUST now have come across the VHW and am very interested.

But to be honest, practically the only (yet big) thing that interests me in the VHW are these claims of better tasting vapor hits due to an all glass path, as I'm perfectly happy with my SSV's hits, results, and efficiency.

So my main question to you all is, just how MUCH of a taste difference is there compared to other vapes (SSV with silicone tubing to be more specific)?

Am I to expect a HUGE improvement in taste? Hit after hit, or just the first hit and all the others are comparable?

Thanks!
