Being a member for the last few years has made me feel an insider with an advantage in the vapor world. I love going into headshops and using vaporist terminology used on FC and watching store clerks look stumped. Im curious how many insider terms we can come up with, for example;

I just did a 5 bar solo session = I just finished a session on my solo, went through 5 energy bars!

Let em roll folks...

I have tried at several different shops, but I've never found anyone working at an LHS who had any idea what "log vaporizer" or "log vape" is. :shrug:

'vaping' or 'vape', I like the term vape since it's shorter and easier to pronounce than vaporizer. but my friends don't like me saying 'vape' instead of vaporizer(I don't renember their exact words, but their opinions were that using the word vape sounds retarded, I don't agree)

Yeah none of my friends or anyone I know has EVER seen a log vape, and some don't even know what vapes are or how they work...

That's because "log vape" is a slang term we made up and use within this forum to describe certain vapes that aren't sold at local head shops. While it's true that many LHS owners and workers aren't very knowledgeable about vapes to the extent that some here are, it's also true that many head shops are stocking better quality vaporizers like the Silver Surfer, Extreme, Vapor Bros, etc., nowadays.

Usually, just mentioning vaporizer is enough to get that response for me. People in head shops don't know a damn thing, at least in my experience. All I see are the occasional SSV, Volcano, or a shitty chineese knockoff.

And the original vapir. I love when they try and act like they know what their talking about and proceed to explain how the volcano is the best and latest technology... Lol

yeah, i hear ya. i didn't mean to sound disparaging about the lhs--just mentioning a term that people don't seem to know. i guess more telling is that in addition to not knowing "log" vaporizer, none of them had ever even heard of FC (even though all of them sell multiple kinds of vaporizers). :doh:

I've only seen one of those EasyVape style in one headshop here, althought the lady dindn't knew much about how it worked (I acted like a clueless customer :p). A so far the folks on other smaller shops don't even know what vaporizing in general is. Yesterday I told the girl from a LHS that I needed small bong for a vaporizer; she showed me a lot of cool pieces without arguing, but minutes later she asked me "What vaporizing is?" lol

I had a store clerk in Charlotte NC tell me she didn't carry the DBV because she tried to stick to reputable brands only! I laughed as she showed me the Phantom Vaporizer - I guess she was all about quality huh. :doh:

She had also never heard of the solo! What about the prices these shops try to get away with, I rcently saw an No2 for 279! I was like wtf!

My local shop proudly showed me a knockoff of an mflb for the low, low price of only twenty buck more than I could get a real one online with free shipping. I was about to tell them, but I figured why burst their bubble.
