I wasn't mixing iso with GO if that's what you're asking, I just waited until I'd mostly washed the GO out before throwing iso/salt to knock of residual debris. The GO worked really really well, turning all of the resin on the OUTSIDE of the dome perk into a phelgm like mucus that came off with a hotwater/GO rinse. It was really cool seeking stringy pieces of resin falling into the water off of the dome perk- now I just have to get the resin in the inside of the dome perk. This resin has definitely been loosened and it looks like its been partially 'scratched' off, though it hasn't. Sorry if this is confusing-it's just hard to explain online. Inside the dome perk it looks like I somehow got a little paperclip in there and tried to scratch the resin off (which unfortunately would be impossible. To try and get the final resin stains off I'm going to try the aforementioned method of turning the bong upside-down with GO in it letting the solution 'hang' in the second perk in a bucket. Good thing I have a lot of other glass to use in the meantime...
That's really too bad about the pipe stores- I know how that goes. I have a pretty limited spending-capacity as far as glass goes as well. Down the street there are not one, not two, not three, but FOUR good head shops by my house and even more really shitty ones I would never step foot into. You really have to do some shopping around as many of the shops seem to think they're more of a glass STUDIO than a bong/pipe shop with many pieces fitting into the new "scientific" category going for 3-4 hundred dollars without so much as a cool bowl piece to go with it! Don't get me wrong- I own one, I just prefer more artistic design instead of clear outside that looks orange/brown when dirty. I got Chip Tha Rip for $115 plus I spent some 40 fucking dollars on a HiSi honeycomb downstem and $60 on the bowl piece- all of which was OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE at the time (lol) but well worth it. Can you post a pic of your illadelph special edition w/ NYC Skyline. Sounds dope as the rock.
