Longevity of Edibles

How long do edibles usually last?

I've only made firecrackers in the past and I've noticed that if I eat it the same day it works great. But if I wait for even a couple days to eat it then the effects aren't as strong leading me to believe that edibles must be consumed within a short time of being made. Is this true or does it depend on the edible? How long have you waited to eat your edibles?

Thanks!

If fresh, I would think within a couple days. But, I've had good luck freezing them. Then, they usually last a few months.

Yea, they keep for a while in the fridge or the freezer. I had a cookie that I kept in a ziploc in a drawer for a couple of months and it was still good but probably not as strong. I'm the only one at my house that likes edibles so I make a batch of cookies or brownies and freeze them in individual doses. But I mostly use edibles at concerts and festivals.
