Computer question (Mac related)

Any Mac user(s) manage to get Windows Livemail working (in and out) using the Thunderbird Mail client on Snow Leopard?

I've Windows Livemail working on the default Mac mail client, but fiancee wants Thunderbird `

And cloning the server/account information doesn't seem to work.

I'm probably too vaped to figure it out.

As a Mac user I cannot help with anything after the Windows Live Mail. That's one of the reasons for the Mac---- to avoid Windows. haha

Yeah, currently a Mac user and have been since my first Mac, a Mac Plus that I got in the mid '80s. Now using a current iMac, but I've never run anything under Windows.

Out of curiosity, why use Windows Livemail rather than a native mail program to Mac OS?

by Windows LiveMail, he means he's got a Hotmail account and he's trying to configure it in Thunderbird... correct?

Unfortunately, those who made Windows Live Mail (that is, M$), chose to keep those POP/IMAP servers only work on Windows-supported mail clients. This link will explain how you can still make it work... It may be a tad outdated, so I can't guarantee the results:
