Holidaze Sales 2019: Whatcha Gonna Do?

Just ordered a Solo II for my parents! I previously gifted them my OG Firefly but it proved too finicky for them to enjoy. I think they will like the Solo a lot better.

While I was at it, I grabbed a couple Jyarz Satchmos from PIU at 20% off for myself. Still planning to grab a Sticky Brick OG on Friday to complete my Black Friday vape shopping!
A Solo II is a good choice for parents. Super straightforward to use and easy to maintain. Maybe try a dome screen inserted into the glass stem so the draw resistance isn't so tight. That's my biggest knock on the Solo II and the screen in the stem is a hack that works really well to open up the draw resistance on my Fierce while keeping the glass honeycomb screen from clogging so quickly.

And while everyone has to hear me gushing about the Splinter and Splinter Z my og limba Brick is my hardest hitting portable and the flavor is also amazing on that thing.

I have the top piece (the Swiss Tree HT and not the base) from stevenlmz79. The mouth piece isn't angled upward very much and the piece looks like it is slightly canted to one side, but those are aesthetic issues it otherwise functions flawlessly. It's not the easiest piece to clean but I don't regret buying it! It doesn't take much water to get above the tree slits.

If you don't have a hydratube, make sure that the piece cools off before cleaning. Hot glass + cold water =. Hasn't happened to me but it's worth mentioning.
Thx for posting your ownership feedback of these pieces, it's much appreciated . I seem to remember some similar feedback earlier (on FC or somewhere) but I didn't see it in your posting history here . It would be nice to get a perfect piece but thankfully it's not the biggest of deals and China glass is much much less expensive than North American offerings (~1/5th the price). I haven't seen an off-the-shelf North American-made Swiss tree hydratube offered for months (and the main supplier has said they moved away from it) and it's been years for a NA-made Swiss tree hydrabase. Roughly how long ago did you pick up the piece?

Good point on glass cleaning... thankfully I've refined my cleaning methods and that piece should be fine for me. I've had no issue with tight spaces and honecomb percs (I recommend PBW over ISO).

Thx for mentioning the thermal shock consideration. How are you envisioning getting a hydratube hot before pouring cold water? What scenarios do I need to be careful of? (I'm going to ask about thermal shock in glass on the glass thread).

Thx!

Just a dude
borosilicate glass can handle thermal shock quite well actually, why it's used in laboratories...
from quick interwebs search:
Borosilicate glass is made up of about 15% boron trioxide, which is that magical ingredient that completely changes the behavior of glass and makes it thermal shock resistant. This allows the glass to resist extreme changes in temperature and is measured by the “Coefficient of Thermal Expansion,” the rate at which the glass expands when it is exposed to heat. Thanks to this, borosilicate glass has the ability to go straight from a freezer to an oven rack without cracking. For you, this means you can pour boiling hot water into borosilicate glass if you wanted to say, steep tea or coffee, without worrying about shattering or cracking the glass.

All glass isn't created equally, depends upon the composition. I suppose shitty glass might break? idk

Only if you buy a complete vaporizer, not just parts.
Glad you were wrong on this one @BabyFacedFinster - $50 and over also qualifies as free shipping. Found that out after I went and ordered 2 M's :hmm: How the hell did that happen? At least the M's will have the spare parts I was looking for. ...times 2! :leaf:

And holy freakin' shit! I got to participate this year!!! Whoohoo

Well I just went to order an Omni stem, xl condenser and ti spinning mouthpiece, but for some reason my payment couldn't be verified? Tried a few times, everything was just so... That was enough to throw me and I took it as a sign not to purchase anything this year. If I still feel the urge at 420 I may purchase then!

Til then (amongst others), my 2018 M will continue to getter done, day in, day out, no doubt!

One item I can recommend at a CRAZY cheap price is the Nova Decarboxylator from Ardent.

$160 including the silicone sleeve and a new strainer/funnel combo.

I got an Ardent Nova a couple of months ago and I really LOVE it. It gets the job done with minimal to no smell and the effects are actually stronger than my oven decarb of 240F for 40 minutes.

Another consideration is that Dynavap has a very nice sale. If you purchase a vapcap vape from them TODAY they will allow you to purchase a new M for $20 (for a friend).

Dynavap also has everything marked down 20%.

Vivant has a 50% off sale. You could pick up a new Alternate and Ambit for $100 total.

Awesome! I have one too and I love mine! I’m curious for other people I’d want to recommend to get it that usually can’t because of price..
What site has that offer for the Nova/lift?

unbearably light in the being....
I’m sitting it out again this year: although money’s not so tight, cartridges are all I can get at a relatively affordable price (flower is $15/g for sticks and shake, when you can find any)...and while I would love to buy a dependable source, that’s not really on sale. My cartridge game is currently good, so it remains waiting and seeing.

Got my second black Friday deal today. I'm acing it this year! 30% off hemp flower at industrialhempfarms. Coming Priority. Now that I can vape indoors.
Any strain you'd recommend or thoughts on indoor versus outdoor? I've tried some Cascadia Blooms stuff but that's it.

I was looking something sweet and came up with Western Berry sun-grown. 0% THC on the label is a key element.

Since Namaste bought Australian Vaporizers I’ve found the shipping slower & in warranty issues referred to the manufacturer.
High Tech will do the same but I’m sure if you mention to both of these companies that you’re covered by Australian Consumer Law they might have a better response.
I’m tending to purchase directly from manufacturers now, price is the same just shipping is a little slower.
I’d buy more from Ozbongs they seem to stock quality gear, got my first Sub from them, but they only have that weird direct bank deposit payment method.

When did this happen as I got a replacement CFX from Ausvapes not long ago (July 26). They sent me a return ticket and sent my replacement as soon as I sent them a picture of the return receipt.

I have also had a Mighty returned to them the same way under warranty, no cost to me, nothing but great service all round since I got a Plenty off them in Oct 2017 and about 10 other transactions.:2c:

I just pulled the trigger on a Ditanium with a free carb cap. I also got a Simrell Ti stem with a ti tip and cap.

I got a M last year to see what the Dynavap world was all about. I didn't like it so I sold it. But my friend at work was complaining about a cough he developed because he smoked. Long story short I helped him get a glass Charlie stem and a ti tip and cap. When I showed him how it worked I was loving the vapor. I never realized that there is that big of a difference between the 2018 ss tip and a ti tip. Then after seeing the vapor @primitiveorganic gets on the M.C. streams with his stems, I was taken. Austyn went on to say the ti stem fits the Tera! I just got a Tera and wanted a aftermarket stem for it. Perfect!

I can't wait! :rockon::brow::brow:
