need help weird bho results

hey guys so I need some help...I did the normal process and last nigh in the vac chamber everything looked good nice shatter patty but I wake up this morning and it looks like the pic below (click the link) all these darker spots kinda fluffed up and I just don't know I did everything the same any one know what causes this?

hmm strange I had this happen to the last patty as well but only a couple lil spots this time those spots grew.....I actually took some of the last patty the part that changed to this and in the process of winterizing I am going to take a small piece of this and maybe heat it a lil more and just see what happends that way ill know if winterizing is better or maybe see what happens.....it seems if I let the air out of the vac but keep the heat on (I have one of those pads that stick right to the bottom of the chamber) it seems these spots seem to melt a lil and the spots shrink a lil so I have it like that now see how much clears up thanks tho ill just have to play around and see what works

UPDATE! Ok so I found the problem....I have read a lot of people mess it up by using 2 much heat so I have a vac chamber with a heat pad on the bottom so I flipped a empty pyrex plate flipped it up side down and put the paty in on a sheet of ptfe…..I thought flipping the pyrex upsiode down would create a lil hot area under the pyrex but also buffering from direct heat....well it just wasn't hot enough I took the pyrex out and layed it on the bottom of the chamber.....and boom perfect shatter! I thought I was too hot guess it was the opposite....either way it came out real good....now for the stuf that is winterizing the rest. I am assuming I purge it the same as butane? correct me if I am wrong

Glad you got it working! You can purge ethanol under vacuum at ~100F.

I lined a pyrex with ptfe and now I have the alcohol mix should I put that into the chamber right away as soon as I pour it? or would I want to use heat but no vac for the initial evap then vac it when it starts to thicken up does it make a difference?

Evaporate ethanol at ~100F with a fan pulling off the ethanol vapor. Once the concentrate reaches a sap consistency, it can go into the vacuum chamber.

The containers are Puffco's Prism. Wish they made them with even more compartments, but they're perfect otherwise.

going to look up puffcos prizm….I am a knife maker so I have a lot of knife maker buddys and friends with a couple owners I get handle material like wood carbon fiber ect...any way the owner I am friends with just told me that one of the guys he gets stuff from and hew said that guys is working on a new silicone material casted to form a handle so..my buddy is goin to ask him if he can make me a mold and make a really big silicone container with lots of lil compartments...if it works out ill get it touch if you would like one but again not positive yet....still cant figure out how to send ya a message on this thing but ill figure it out

I get what your saying but to be honest I am not worried about the tiny amount of butane that may be left. its such a small amount and think people inhale butane everyday when they light a cig or a joint or even more butane if your smoking a bowl. And also I have put much much worse chemicals into my body but that was a long time ago don't do that any more.

as far as the risk of blowing up your house well ya know that saying guns don't kill people....people kill people well yeh that kida applies here. I don't have much experience with bho but I do have experience with dangerous materials at dangerous temps in dangerous situations half of my garage has been damn near fire proofed as I have multiple forges and equipment for working with hot metal even still I go outside to blast the butane. dangerous materials are easy to work with if you have common sense and think things threw and stick to the plan most of the accidents I hear of were because someone got to combfortable and lazy...if you think things threw and plan for what could happen MOST people will be ok.....although there are always the few idiots that make us all look bad...
