Does mighty have a better tasting cooling mouthpiece than the plastic yet? Still probably one of the best portable vapes if not the best but flavor could be improved a little bit.. I have an adapter and a little bong. Bubble straw ?

They make a glass mouthpiece, for the plastic cooling unit, but m not sure how much difference it would make. I think it tastes great as is.

This just blew my mind! :o I HATE the cooling unit and not being able to see how dirty it is without a major tear down! The mighty has become my DD, and I was just getting ready to order some new cooling units, but I think I’ll try this out instead.

It cools it off enough without running through water? Or am I being stupid and this is meant to be run through water?

wondering about the taste compared to cooling unit with glass mouthpiece and with plastic, hope you will share some knowledge from your experience @LesPlenty or are you occupied by playing with that new devilish orange glowing tool? what is it made of ? :D

It sure does, much cooler than the stock mouthpiece. (I am not coughing as much with this setup)

I believe the taste is better than standard(my CU is still fairly new though). I don't have the glass mouthpiece for the OG CU but I did have a glass EasyFlow on my CF/x and that made very little difference on that unit compared to the j-hook.
It is not just better with taste, there are other benefits like being able to see how much vapor you are receiving per draw and you can watch the temp gauge drop as you pull!
The Sherlock is also a lot easier to clean, tip a bit of iso in the 18mm female joint and put a thumb over each end and swish back and forth, tip contents into a silicon puck, evaporate the iso and be left with a bit of goo to consume.

Re: the acquisition of S&B by Canopy Growth.

I am very wary of this development to be perfectly honest. Canopy Growth and the whole cannabis industry in Canada has developed into a bit of a bug bear of mine. It is a deeply corporate environment, fine, sure. But it is very tied to the nastiest elements of Bay Street (Canada's Wall Street) and, along with other LPs, has been part and parcel to the regulatory capture of Canada's cannabis industry.

What I was reading in the patent struck me as a bong-Juul. Something where the dosage is indicated and therefore can be sold pre-packaged by the major LP in the given market. Again, some people really love their Pax Era or whatever. However, I think this is part of removing the botanical and 'good aspects' of 'da herb' and their increasing control by corporate interests and the growing criminalization of people just doing it themselves. We'll see. Sorry for the off topic. Just sucks that S&B will be the tip of this spear given my love of the Mighty and Crafty.

That said, my dad has come to me with a variety of Mighty problems lately. He doesn't like cleaning it and no matter how many times I show it, he just waits for me to show up and deal with the issue. I have been really amazed by the resilience of the Mighty given the abuse that he puts it under (no matter how many times I remind him that it cost me north of $400 buckeroos seems to phase him). The bowl is always able to be cleaned to a state that I find acceptable. Just make sure to clean your capsules before they get icky! They keep you Crafty/Mighty clean, until they start getting dirty then they are the bearer of bad news!

@LesPlenty I picked up a pair of Jhooks for about 20$ and it was an awesome upgrade when paired to the WPA for my Crafty. I have taken it out and about a little boldly more than once and boy is it a delicious treat. One time I was sitting in the woods during a hike and was come upon by some other hikers, who asked me what I was smoking. "Robot Gandalf pipe".

I sounded the alarm here on the possibility that the canopy acquisition could be bad for s and b. It could be good as well. Canopy is big and growing. Big companies have big clout.
S and b is a respected company making a well regarded product.

Maybe together they can use that clout to make it so hospitalized or institutionalized patients can use a vape legally. Perhaps those in federal housing. Maybe have insurance pay for vapes. Lots of good things could happen.

I guess it depends on canopy and their shareholders now.

X2.

I just had mine out for a party yesterday but the party Volcano took over, along with vape pens (yuck) and joints (1M yuck)

Which models are older/ newer as one serial # plate said a shorter "Made in Germany" and was all numbers, while another had a long address, ending in Tuttlingen and serial # had numbers and letters ( I think newer?)

All-numbers are older, first couple of years of production. I think they were sequential at that time and now the serial 'numbers' are randomized and include letters.

I joined the club last week and am thoroughly enjoying my new Mighty! I've fiddled around with the temperature a bit, but always find my way back to 410°. The hits are smooth, the taste is good, the effects are strong, and the clouds are gigantic. Aside from missing out on a little flavor (although I think it still tastes pretty good) is there any reason I shouldn't just leave it cranked up?

I've only run mine at max temperature since I got it. I get flavor for the first two hits and then it degrades, somewhat.

Personally, I am only in it for the medication; flavor is much less important to me. But their are connoisseurs here who might have other priorities.

I, too, get lots of vapor and well extracted herb. And I only use the capsules to keep my Mighty clean.

Enjoy, and welcome to the club!

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the club.

The temperature you use is a highly personal thing. As an asthma sufferer I like low temp vaping. I vape herb at roughly 360F-380F. And concentrates at 410F.

Whatever temps you like to use in your vape is alright. I'll just recommend you try different temps before you settle on just one setting. The adjustability is a great feature so i say use it.

I was running my mighty @ 410 through a water pipe when I first got it but now I use it won’t the cooling unit and start from 340/350- 393/410.

I also have asthma and my lungs can be over powered by the mighty if I start too high of a temp.

Edit- I prefer the flavor at the lower temps now too

Thanks all, I appreciate your insight. I've tried it once native, but like the convenience and clenliness of the capsules. I bought a box of them. I know it's been mentioned before in this epic thread, but how many hits are people getting out of a capsule at high temperature? I'm averaging 5-6.

I'm usually in the .12g range load size, been a while since I counted, but I'd say 6-8 big clouds, trailing off over maybe another 5-10 hits. All depends on the product.

I have a 2003 early version 500,000's 2nd rev , start's most mornings at 4:20
(early riser) with a few bags with .20 and it just gently eases me into my day.
From 8 am on to 10 pm I moved to concentrates as the weed does almost nothing
after morning dose.

Before I have to move to the 85 - 94 % distillate with added live resins, shatter
budder, sauce's ect , would the Mighty allow me to continue vaping weed later
into the day, still giving me the kick I want till it's time to hit the buckets & get
couched locked bakked medicated for sleep.

With just the Volcano use at night can't really fall asleep for more than 4 hours
tops (15 yrs pattern) now with adding concentrates in afternoon/evenings I
sleep 6 - 7 hrs for 3 years now.

So would the adding the Mighty or Plenty or Crafty (not familiar with the differences)
have more of a kick than just weed in my "V"?
Would thus Crafty or others be good for afternoon rotation?
Don't get me wrong, love the Milder , convection, conduction entourage effects
but no matter what strain of indica or sativa combos I tried, nothing works at
all for me after 5 pm but strong concentrates to take pain away & wind me down.
