Alice in Wonderland

I just saw the new Alice in Wonderland in IMAX 3D tonight. I can't get it out of my head and keep reliving the scenes. It was a lot of fun, all the characters are so funny and crazy. I decided not to see it vaped (boo! I know) but I was in the company of family and some non MJ friends. Now that I'm home, it's time to get vaped but I just wanted to know what you all thought of the movie. My favorite character was the Cheshire Cat.

What's Going On?
I saw it at the midnight opening in Imax 3D, vaked out of my mind of course. So worth it! I have always loved the books and first movie, I have been wanting to see this movie for over a year or two since it was first announced.

I am super excited to go see this. 3D movies are like a gift from God. Was this 3D more in your face than what avatar was?

It actually isn't a true 3D movie. It was filmed with one camera, not a stereoscopic pair like Avatar. The result is that the 3D tends to fall apart a bit, and as a choice they are much more "in your face" with the 3D than Avatar was, which in my opinion is a terrible decision.

thanks for that info, tuttle. my wife and I have been wondering whether to watch this in 3D or in a regular cinema.

if anybody else has watched this in 3D, i'd love to hear your opinions if you wouldn't mind!

The 3D was ok, I did notice it fall apart as mentioned a few times though, especially in scenes where things move very fast such as when Alice falls down the hole. They played a preview for TRON in 3D which looked amazing!

Cool, thanks guys. I haven't watched Avatar yet either, so the Mrs. is looking forward to visiting the cinema for this one. We'll probably watch it without 3D I guess. I wish I had an LB already so I could vape in the theatre!!

I just had to bust out my LB while watching this movie. It was packed in there, and yet the LB prevailed :ninja:

Don't get discouraged about seeing it in 3D, it's still really cool. I'd be willing to bet you'd enjoy it more than the regular presentation. My ticket was 16 dollars though, ouch.

I thought all the colors and eccentricities of the movie were very fun. But the whole Tim Burton clique is getting really annoying to watch.
