The Aspire battery I used is a 20A battery, so I figured it should more than support the 8-10A quoted for the IQ - I do appreciate the suggestion though!

Yes, this was with the Davinci battery. I have also tried a samsung and an Aspire 2600 - which were the only other batteries I had access to with very similar results.
