For real! I'm with you, it's an assholey approach. I think what most people mean here is that even though the light turns green, the unit still does not perform optimally until several minutes later after its heated up more. I never trust the first green after turning it on. As for baskets yes...

I have a question about the IH heaters: is it true they are only good for a couple hundred clicks or whatever? Which one lasts the longest, or are they all the same in that department?
