Nah I've always used the basket. But I've used it almost daily, sometimes multiple times a day and with friends. Especially with friends it goes quite quickly.. :)

Fixed the problem :) I completely submerged a rolled up paper towel in cleaning alcohol and wiped the chamber with it very thoroughly. I guess a bit of cleaning alcohol even dripped inside, but I just left it alone for 2 hours for it to evaporate. Chamber smells only very faint of ABV now when...

I always used it with the 2 screens + silicone ring inside. Then I plugged in a basket that's connected to 2 screens with one of those sillicone ring thingies. Then through a water piece or sometimes with the lid + mouthpiece, it depends. The ABV taste/smell has gotten better since I cleaned it...

I've had my miniVAP for a few months now and after all this time I'm running into a bit of a problem. I can't seem to get it clean anymore. Here is an example of a miniVAP bong setup: There is no reason this should happen, because the basket should be inside the MV in the same way with both methods. The only thing I can think of is not having a tight seal. I'd check that first. Try to see if the silicone around the basket seals...
