I'm very surprised at what I'm experiencing with the new Vrod carb cap (2 angled holes) and 2 5mm balls...
First, the dabbing experience - as suspected, at low temps with enough material on the dish the balls do in fact throw some on the carb cap, interestingly there's buildup near the actual...
I'm another excited soon-to-be owner of a new 2-hole Vrod carb cap with 2 5mm spinners to go with, so I'll be able to give a review/comparison of the single hole (no angle) cap vs. what I think will end up being a sweet vortex dab :science::rockon:
I think it's interesting you're saying you...
I think one hole angled in the right spot along the SiC dish track with a very tight seal over the dish may be the perfect balance of air flow and heat retention within the dish as well as the spinning ball(s). The one advantage of the SiC being able to transfer heat quickly is also the factor...
I think it's fair to say you might dab less with the Vrod setup when you get your favorite flower temp figured out (for me it's 600f w/710life enail controller, reverse Vrod w/NV Sic), when you find how ridiculously good just flower is, you'll understand. It's like a concentrate high/effect...
Even if it’s 5%, the ease of cleaning with qtips to me makes the SiC Vrod a superior design IMO.
During the first week of owning it I was disappointed at what seemed to be an inefficiency to fully vaporize concentrates. However after a few weeks of testing and seeing the info posted by another...
We totally need a glass carb cap and ball set we can order from NV for the Vrod, that would be amazing! :brow:
Does anyone own the Micro 20 or any other rosin press? If so, what's your experience been with yields and would you buy it again?
Update on my Vrod SiC findings... again fiddling with the laser temp gun :science:
It DOES give full vaporization of concentrates, under certain conditions so far that I've found. For each setup it will be different, but I think it boils down to what the surface temp is of the dish when...
Honestly, if you really do have a high tolerance, you should be fine to begin using concentrates, make sure to always start small, and I can directly speak to this because I've had two days experience with the Vrod NV SiC and can say it's got devastating effects when "twaxing".
But I'm not...
I would get this, you can either set a schedule or use voice control, or control thru an app on a smartphone:

Or you could get a mechanical timed one that...
