The DaVinci guy said in one of the first posts they were using Sanyo batteries. So I ordered Sanyo (Panasonic) NCR18650GA batteries 3500mAh, 10A. He said these were compatible with the IQ. Also ordered a Nitecore D2 charger. Now all I need is some herb and the IQ :D

I already did search.... I found that the protected ones are a tad bigger due to the extra 'safety circuit'... So what I want to know is if the IQ battery is protected or unprotected.... I guess the IQ wil have a safety circuit build in, so they will make use of unprotected cells...

I was already shopping around for some spare batteries... Now I noticed there are protected and unprotected 18650 batteries... Which one to buy for the IQ? The one I want to order is a Sanyo NCR18650GA unprotected 3500mah (10Amps).... But want to be sure before ordering...
