Anyone have any experience vaping kief in the Alternate? I only had enough for a small bed below the kief, and I have nothing to cover it with. Or do you even need to cover it?

Updated my firmware the minute I got it and its set to 3 minutes. Checked in between ovens just to be sure that it didn't reset itself back to 60 seconds. So it's definitely not the timer.

Does anyone's Alternate stop heating in the middle of the session and just go to idle mode? I can get a hit or 2 off mine before it just stops heating and the light on the front turns red. Any info on this?

Couldn't you just apply a piece of electric tape or something to stop the airflow from leaking?

I understand and respect that viewpoint. IMO since it doesn't effect performance its not worth it for me to return it.

Always vaped with it at 400F, 410F, 420F, and 428F.

My mouthpiece oven ring is also looking to be melting. :| Really was hoping this wasn't going to happen.

That makes sense, I didn't notice a difference in airflow either with it in or out with the switch on the front fully opened. Might be a stupid question, but how does it go back in the mouthpiece? Does it snap back in or something?

Anyone notice their Alternate leaking a lot of vapor out of the mouthpiece while in use? After my first hit or 2 it seems like its losing a ton of its vapor through the mouthpiece. I took out my airflow valve in the mouthpiece that could be the issue...

@DarkSm0ke bought mine from PIU and it definitely has a plastic smell to it. It doesn't smell like that classic toxic smell but it is 100 percent a plastic like smell, it isn't strong though, you basically have to place your nose on the oven to smell it.

It's a shame that this big snow storm had to occur recently on the east coast, or else i'd have the Alternate in my hands already. Shipping is very slow because of it. Hoping I get it soon.
