thanks for the replies. OF, using your theory of spraying it with water and shop-vac'ing it out, why wouldn't qtips soaked with water do the same thing? also, couldn't I just turn the vap on to get rid of the left-over water?

Thanks for the quick reply...I was under the impression that the walls of the chamber is what heats the herb...is it the bottom, the walls, or both? Is the purpose of "spacing" to allow for more surface area to be exposed?

sorry to bump my post but I'm curious about the sway on the glass straw as I don't want my return window to close without making sure everything I'm experiencing is "normal" for 1.2. and any hints on what the flowers and sombreros would do for me would be nice too :-)

Maybe I just don't know any better but I'm just putting lightly ground herb in the bowl (about halfway up the bowl), not tamping it or anything and it seems to hit just fine, doesn't lift out of the bowl, and seems to have a nice even char when finished. These "sombreros" and "glass flowers"...
