Somebody has a great diy digital controller for the Hakko 907ESD, including schematics, pcb files, and the code. It's preset for 200C/392F start point, but I found the line in "SolderingIronController.h" and changed to 100C/212F. Now to see if I can get the compiler working in ubuntu. :)...

Very cool thread! Gives me hope for my own project :) Can get this for $65 + tax here in town. :) Was thinking of pairing with an Arizer Extreme whip kit for $23, and heat cover for $25.. plus tax.. and shipping. A few shops in town might carry them, but it may be cheaper online.. even with...
