Let me ask you: 1 Did you give it a good 10 - 15 min to warm up before vaping? 2 Was your bowl really packed? P.S. I could be wrong but your herp even at max setting I don't think shouldn't char or turn black.

Yes mine blinks the whole time too. That's why I was asking. I just tested and noticed if I raise the temp higher than what I need for about a min then lower it down it turns off but after a few uses it starts to blink again and won't stop unless I repeat those steps. Hope mine is not defective...

With the Extreme Q, what does it mean when the heat LED starts to blink? I have seen it blinking in demonstrations but never thought to ask. There is no info in the manual and I am just assuming that the blinking means it has reached the desirable temp. Anyone know?

I'm not sure but how about placing a couple drops of the oil with a bit of herb? Or are you wanting to use the oil only?

Hello. I too am a noob. I just placed an order for the Extream Q and hope to get it early next week. I agree that there a lot of helpful people here and even talked to VapeChris on the phone when placing my order. Cool. Can't wait....it's like waiting for xmass all over again....weeeeeeeee.....

WOW...:o Thanks Iwien. I think that thread both informed me and confused me. :ko: I'm gonna stick with stainless steel only because it's used in cooking so why not vaping. This is my personal preference and not anything else.
