thanks sublimation :D it was easy. i used 1/4" ID tubing though some swear by .177 in, but that was too small for me to use on both the MFLB stem, and the GonG eclipse 18mm adapter (or any of the eclipse adapters for bongs)

it still functions fine, the screen is just as i left it, but it can be pushed down if on accident now. i just don't get why the hell it won't fit back in place, just jams up when i try to shove the last few millimeters in place.

BTW a mortar and pestle works awesome. it's nice too since everything stays right in the mixing bowl easy to collect. i picked one up at TJ maxx for $5 and have used it quite a bit since.

greenjeans, you need to find a tubing that's clear to really tell how hot things are when you can't tell by the temp hitting your tongue anymore. i haven't combusted my MFLB so far (seen my buddy do his), and i don't plan to :D
