Thanks, that is a possibility. But how about digestion? Do we know that stomach acid is not needed to break down the ABV before our bodies can use it?

Oh God! Am I the only one that gets terrible acid reflux from ABV capsules? I haven't bothered to grind down the ABV as it fits fine in the capsules. Could that be my issue?
