Will it just change the flavor of the pipe or is it actually going to damage it? And if so, is it permanent damage? Seems like it would be useful if I want to smoke out a car, or if there is a lot of heads. Thanks for all of the help.

Can the pipe piece be used as a regular pipe when separated from the flame filter?
