    Discontinued Healthy Rips FIERCE

@OF you're the only one talking about "the legal issue". And you don't need to agree; HR posted that they have solved an existing issue by updating the firmware. Whether or not you want to listen to them literally telling you that it's not functioning as intended is up to you. It's great that...

I mean, what are they going to say? "Shit, we have a third issue, send 'em back"? It's business; of course they are going to say "you don't need this update". And I don't fault them for that. I'm not accusing you have having some malicious ulterior motive here or anything like that, but it does...

@Sn4Pz lol no. I'm a little surprised at how fervently some are trying to talk people out of being upset about all this... but I'm also surprised at how upset some people are about it. You don't seem to be in either camp from my perspective. You gotta report back; tell us how long it took to...

Because certain people don't want to feel even a twinge of regret with their purchase and will go out of their way to defend the product. Despite the fact that some users may now be sending their units back for a second fix for unrelated issues. I'm happy with the device. I would also like it...

Well, I am surprised, only because I have other, seemingly similar devices whose firmware is easily updated at home. But just because they seem similar doesn't mean they are in actuality, obviously.

@John Coaltrain It is kinda surprising though. HR mentioned in the previous post it's a USB-C cable, and like @zippy said, you can easily update similar devices at home. That said, I obviously have little idea as to how they built or update the device.

Great news! Will we be able to update the software on our own?

@elykpeace that makes sense. I've used an F2 that definitely didn't have a noticeable plastic taste. My Fierce is undeniably losing that flavor, though whether or not the source is the silicone I can't say. I'm honestly starting to think it's the rubber grip material.

Not to be confrontational, but after having this issue with 3 devices, why would you buy a fourth?

Like 5 days old at this point. Bought it directly from HR. It's not so much a smell as a taste but it seems to be clearing up.

@Smknbud While using the glass piece without the dosing cap didn't really have a noticeable effect, the taste does seem to be dissipating with general use.

@Smknbud I'll give it a shot once I get it off the charger. That said, I can fully taste and smell what I'm referring to without any mouthpiece at all by just inhaling/smelling where the heater is on the unit.

@Smknbud No, the Fierce ones. The end of the glass mouthpiece sits on top of the top of the capsule so it extends a little farther out of the accessory adapter than usual. I've tried using it with the native mouthpiece as well so I sincerely doubt that's the cause. @Vape Dr. Nothing visible. I...

    Discontinued Healthy Rips FIERCE

@Vape Dr. I'll check and report back. I was basically thinking of giving it the weekend with some moderate use and if that wasn't enough, whining to HR. I haven't wanted to share the device with anyone yet because of how overpowering the plastic taste is. I'm surprised with the QC issues they...

It's the device itself that's creating the odor/taste. It's not the mouthpiece. In other words, soaking in dish soap isn't a solution.
