yeah, forgot to mention that my half-pack lid broke 2 times already (the magnets fell off) the last one works great so no problems with the unit so far (only the lid got replaced in like 2 days so i don't really care :D )
Yeah, they are already working on a update to unlock temps below 360...
Ok guys, lets get some info about how your PAX 3s are working!
Got mine 5 months ago, vaping 1-2g per day, on weekends its working nonstop
no issues at all
End.
:D
I'm worried that 420 is the max temperature allowed by a hardware limitation - max safe temperature for a device so it won't overheat even after longer session (they would need to upgrade the isolation or cooling to make sure your PAX won't break).
On the other hand: lower temp can be surely...
Great to hear that! Would be great to have like "lower temp switch" to unlock lower temperatures so you can vape every herb on this planet and not combust, coz this is FUCKCOMBUSTION forum! :D
Yeah personal experience: bigger temperature range = more herbs you can safely vaporize
(+ when i vape weed at 360f it still sometimes [with some strains] makes too much vapor so if i could set even lover temp it would help)
Try fresh pepermint, the taste is just amazing, or other herbs (i got...
Picture of temperatures HERE
First "type" of THC (THCA) starts to vaporize at 248 f, then THC is at 347 f and THCV vaporizes at 428f + i like to vape other herbs too from time to time (pepermint) and they need lower temps too
I would personally prefer that you could set lower temperature in the app than 184 C (360f) i dont think this cant be done with the firmware update. I'd like to set the temp to maybe 120 C or less.
+ the app and the device should be updated to disconnect less from the device (it vibrates all...
So i decided to buy PAX 3 instead of Davinci IQ because of the oven cracks, a lot more then few not working units, long RMA and many more. I will check this thread - if things get better i will buy the IQ or IQ version 2 when it comes out. Have a good day guys!
There is visible "crack" on every unit from manufacturing process, however this one is straight and goes all the way down, the cracks you can see in these pictures of broken are not straight and usually stops in half way :)
The cracks are probably caused by heating and cooling - material fatigue
- everything tends to expand when heated and squish when cooled down this may be the case... the "high" heat itself should not affect this type of ceramic, but material fatigue can develop cracks after longer time
