Mine comes out pretty easily, i just hook my thumbnail under the glass lip. the indent under the rubber top piece is there so you can grab the glass straw from the lip.

My 3+ year old solo has been doing exactly the same thing. no blue led 2 lights past 5. It started happening around the same time the battery was noticeably weaker. Also it auto shuts off after 5-6 mins. Is your battery weaker too or is it just the lights?

Yeah, I did. The problem is it won't fit through the metal top-cap. When screwed off, I can wiggle it into the chamber a little. The first of the 2 stems ended up shattering when I first tried to put it in with the top cap still screwed on. And you are correct, no O-ring like I've seen the pics...

Thanks for the quick reply! I really like the 4 hole straight stems (I'm using one of the old 2 hole bent stems now), so I'll just order from puffitup. They actually have it for cheaper than the ebay sellers that sold me the bad stems.

Hey ChildInTime, are you using a "candle-flame" lighter like a bic? If so, you can get vapor much quicker with a mini torch style lighter. The lighters VG sells are good, and you can find a bunch of cheap ones on DX.com or on ebay. Besides that, I would suggest trying to breathe slower. Try...
