If you care about how gunky the stems can get, it's easily alleviated by a weekly ISO wash? or just get one of those Ed's WonG stems I've heard so much about ;) I think if you google Ed's TnT you'll find his site pretty easily.

I think so long as you don't charge unapproved batteries in the Air, you're fine. I don't think the discharge of the battery itself while in use is a huge problem, provided the current voltage isn't way over spec and it ends up frying something? not sure if that's even possible though? I doubt...
