The flowers will INDEED hold it in place and it won't fly away. Yeah glass flowers hold a decent size load in just fine. I should have said a tiny load. A "pinch" of ground bud might not pack down because of the shape of the flowers and paucity of weed.

Are you using the programmable function? If you don't move it a while it turns off but I've never had mine turn off just by itself. This is a new one right?

I managed to squeeze the screens into an oblong shape then bend it a bit and pushed it into the bottom of the glass screen with a bamboo skewer I use for grilling. It stayed oblong and fit perfectly. Of course don't expect to get it out.
